Has anyone managed to grab this yet in Perth? Specifically in Freo or somewhere like Garden City?

I went to the Target in Freo and they weren't selling it, which is weird because that place is dead, no one gives a shit, and I remember getting a FIFA in there early. Also went to the city and didn't see much happening either.

Still hesitant on getting this thing straight away...

Yeah i picked up a copy via EB games Freo. I showed the girl working there JBs price and she matched it. Enjoy dude

Oh really? Cool, might go in tonight if I can be bothered, was in town all day but going into JB Hifi is a chore at the best of times. The smug nerdy campaigners.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that Wicked Witch included more than 2 bloody songs in the menu screens.

One of the things that seriously pissed me off about AFL live 1

Played a few matches against my housemate, a few comments.

5 minute quarters and the score was ~60-65 both games. Played one game in dry conditions and one with heavy rain and the latter had about twice as many tackles. In dry conditions we had about 4 touches for every tackle where in the wet it was more like 2-3. 50m penalties and advantage are way too touchy. Players feel like they move on skates but I much prefer that than a slow tacklefest. Ruckman had the most touches in both games. Marking felt like a raffle and spoiling was extremely hard to get the hang of. If you bump a player off the ball it's a free kick every time which I didn't like. There was only one specky taken over the two games which was pleasing. Handball chains felt very smooth and not overpowered as it was quite easy to intercept them. Goals were pretty easy to kick from set shots the only difficult part was getting the distance right, I think I kicked 10.2.62 in heavy rain. Sorry for how incoherent this is I was just typing it as things came to mind

The commentators literally just say any name from the team that has the ball. Hannebery has been referred to as Grundy about five times now, while Franklin was called Hewett.

The advantage system after a free kick is fked too. If the ball is loose when you win a free kick, it's automatically advantage if you pick it up, no matter the situation (ie it's advantage if you pick it up with an opponent hot on your hammer). It only goes back to the person who received the free kick if the opposition are first to the ball.

So they decided to go with an accurate representation of BT commentating

I like how now you can tap the ball back in on the boundary instead of always going out of bounds while trying to pick it up, was probably the most irritating thing for me in AFL games

Interesting. So weather conditions and distance do affect accuracy of the AI? One thing that killed my enjoyment of previous games is the ridiculous scores of 15.2.92 14.3.87 etc every game. Boring and predictable.

Simulating a career to see how the offseason is, first match simulated the Saints kicked 9 goals 30 behinds and Power kicked 10 goals 21 behinds. I'm controlling the power and three players were injured and 2 reported
