Ok bought the game, not bad but need help

1) What is the method everyone is using to mark the ball?

Tap triangle, hold etc?

2) Also how do ruck contests work i seem to always lose the ruck tap

If you're suspended during the final round of a season you literally can't progress in your career. That's a pretty ******* game breaking bug. I also never said there were games that don't need patches. I said there were plenty of games that don't have GAME BREAKING BUGS. Can you read? It sounds like you're on the Wicked Witch payroll.

I got suspended for 3 weeks for rough conduct, missed the QF, but played in the SF, PF, GF in the VFL. Its made me hip and shoulder less even though it pops up as a match objective a lot.

Not overly related, but just sitting down to watch the Hawks-Lions game and solely because of GTL16, when Chris Fagan came on screen I wanted to reach through my TV and strangle him. Cheers GTL.

Too early to say. Live 1 had patches to fix it's issues and made it the best before Evolution. Live 2 even had DLC. In saying that, if a patch comes out soon that fixes the major issues with the game i reckon it could be number 1

Sorry if any of this has been mentioned already. So just played my first couple of matches online and got flogged. Getting flogged was to be expected so that doesn't bother me. A couple of things though:

1) The people I played were using custom "all-star" teams. Is this a common occurrence online? It's going to get very old very quickly coming up against these teams similar to playing as a 5-star FIFA team constantly coming up against Barcelona or Real Madrid.

2) "Abusing" the play-on function. Maybe abusing isn't the right word but having your player stuck on the mark while your opponent constantly runs past uncontested and boots it 50m up the field is already pretty annoying. Could make online near on unplayable for me.

Overall though I think the game's ok. Not a bad base to work off.

Umm... maybe being the first time I have experienced the off season in this game I wanted to see how easy/hard the trading is!! Anyway the point is it should not be so easy to recruit a team of stars on legend management difficulty. As I also mentioned overall I am happy with game and think it is better than anything before it.

Yeah sadly there's a lot of people that use custom teams, I just quit out before the game starts if I see my opponent is using one, absolutely horrible decision by WW to allow custom teams to be used online.

Right now, Live 1 > Evolution >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Live 2. Evolution definitely has the potential to overtake Live 1 though if they do come up with a decent patch.

Its really a case of pick your poison. Live 1 was a tackle-fest, clustered and honestly the most frustrating online. Live 2 just sucked all around and Evolution is very free-flowing but just so many small bugs from the get-go.

1) This will only get worse, so you may as well get used to it now. AFL Live 1 was exactly the same, custom teams with super stat characters all over. I will never understand how people can find that enjoyable. Big Ant actually patched Live 1 to allow it to happen... Worst decision ever.

2) I honestly believe this is due to lag. I took my game back because of this and other lag related issues online. IMO the matchmaking is broken and the online play is severely held back by it. You either have a severe advantage if the lag is in your favor (this means you can play on without fear of being tackled, among other things), or a severe disadvantage (where as soon as you play on you're tackled). I played around 10 games and there was never a middle ground between the two extremes.

Just played the most bullshit game. Literally couldnt tackle. My player would just run the opposite way. And the campaigner kept bumping a mile off the ball taking my players out of the game. Literally could do nothing to stop it yet if I bump a player with the ball I get done for illegal Sheppard. :s

Watch tips and advice vid by xSYRUM on YouTube. May help, but i suggest if your struggling put setting on easy and play a season. You have time to figure out basic movements and skills.
