Bring back Mini-games from 04 and Premiership Edition :thumbsu:
And having historical games were awesome with video clips to unlock. I still feel Premiership edition was and probably will be the best game ever made. It even had comeback challenges which were exciting and you could create your own.

I can remember creating my own challenge based on round 10 2006 in Geelong.

12 or so minutes to go into in the 3rd quarter WCE down by 54 points and they came back to win by 3 points @ Geelong. Best comeback ever considering they only hade a quarter and a half to do it in:thumbsu::thumbsu:

I think I might go watch some classic Goals, Marks and bumps right now.
BEST AFL GAME EVER, Make it like this game with some additional features as said previously and It sales will go through the roof :thumbsu:

Looking forward to this game. Going to get this on PS3 :thumbsu:
Hopefully it has Zones, Loose man in defence and all the little things in real life.

Videos were tops :thumbsu:
The snap kick was legendary.

I'd forgotten about unlockable clips and the minigames. Awesome idea.

I personally wouldn't mind the game being delayed slightly further for these additions. It probably won't happen though.

Be A Pro wouldn't be a priority for me. It could work though if there really is state leagues too.

Yeah, I think looking back at it now it was one of, if not the best (and maybe discounting AFL 99 which was quite good and the old NES AFL game).

I loved the way the game played. It was necessarily realistic and was VERY easy, but I could play it at my pace. Usually I'd just play a chip style game and rack up 30+ disposals with various players, was very fun.

Definitely the scenario's were and always are good fun in games. They just add a nice little feature outside of the usual career mode and exhibition match. Same goes for those mini-games, which I found fun for a go to it every so often mode. The video content was cool too, to have it all it one place and be able to look at it. There was a lot of videos there as well. Enjoyed watching them over.

I think when they changed the game engine the following year they were on the right path, but it just took too long to get the engine to a stage that it was comparable with AFL Premiership Edition.

I wouldn't mind gameplay that resembled PE, but it was a very easy game (much like the rest of them) once you got a bit used to it. Maybe just all the features of PE.

The Richo video where he was at the bottom of the pack giving some choice words to the umpire was so much win. Vintage Richo :D

Haha, agreed. A memory that sticks in my mind is the goal of Nathan Brown's, when he was still a Bulldog, running to the boundary, collecting the ball, snapping it over his head for the ball to bounce at right angles in the square in for a goal. One of my favourite goals ever.

I was just thinking, people mentioned that if a create a comp feature is in NRL, that it should be applicable to AFL in order to create the state leagues. I don't think so, cause the NRL custom comps are probably just your choice of a combination of teams, rather than creating new ones. Otherwise how would jumpers for one work?

Sure were, couldn't get tackled from the snap kick so that the kick I always used to get the centre clearance :D

.
It was pretty easy to play and win, mini games were great, super kick, handball challenge and around the world hope they are included. Videos were awesome they inspired me back in 16s to kick a "Daniel Kerr / "Ryan Lonie" like goal , 4 bounces from HB and kick from 40m GOAL. I even pointed the finger like Kerr did as the celebration in the end :D. They can be educational:thumbsu:

Yeah I watched that today, its one of my brothers favourites. Also like the Aker bump on the reporter "rode that bump beautifully Jarrad Waitly that was well done"

Yeah he was a great player, really shows how that broken leg stuffed it up. I also felt his opperste foot goal from the boundary was class. Even Pavlich at 9 (felt it was top 5) is classic how he got that goal from the boundary with that pressure was amazing.

I also like watching the Pickett bump on Kirk. There was huge impact but Kirk just got up

i really dont think that'd work

:)

hmmm... well now I've registered BigAntStudios so people know it's us posting!

Sorry, Ant, didn't realise you were'nt near Melbourne, if this is an issue then please let me know.

I would be happy for you to take along a few others from Big Footy with you whenever we get a solid date. (They should be people that have played games before of course!)

Hope everyone understands that we have been reading here for a long time and also get more than 20 emails a day - we are listening - and unlike any game made before the guys on this team are seriously die-hard footy fans. Personally my first GF memory was standing room in the rain in 1979, I assure you we will be doing our best with this, it's more than a job, I've been waiting all my life to make this game!

^^ If not a fake account/person, then :thumbsu::thumbsu:

I would PAY to be a tester! (I also conveniently work close to Big Ant's office... just sayin..)

Thanks for the update Ross.

You'll get both extreems on this site, but I think everybody will be happy to just have a new AFL game when it's said and done.

But you suck .....

haha, nah I can vouch for Mr Gor as not only a good gamer and someone who's had all AFL games in the past, but someone who knows what goes down with game engines etc etc etc.

Give him the nod Ross & Ant_!

I would work to be a tester but I live in Sydney. Although when I sent an email to HES in January, I asked if there was some testing and he said yes and send in your resume. Never got around to it:D

HES do take on testers.... and they need people that understand AFL, I would certainly send in a resume and highlight that you are passionate about AFL.
