I have a feeling we won't hear anything about this game (from the publishers) till the Rugby game has been released, (that's tru blu too isn't it?) because they won't want to take people away from thinking about their rugby game.

If we are looking to the future why did voss label us a "top 4 prospect" and recruit some oldish hacks eg: buchanan and fev. if black goes there is no brisbane, fev hsould be delisted as well hes 29 turns 30 in January

Because it would be crazy for a company to release 2 games at once. Rugby League releases in September. AFL at a guess - Feb/March.

I hope I'm wrong and it comes out this year, but I don't see it happening.

Why not

- Need to build the hype by actually announcing the game to the public
- Limiting sales by releasing at the end of the season. No one besdies the die hards would buy it/ play it over summer
- A March 2011 release would mean 22+ weeks of marketing to sell more copies
- Its probably not close enough to finished yet
- new team in next year. With a 2011 release, they would have 12 months to patch GWS in
- NO ONE KNOWS THE GAME EXISTS. Besides us. and the people working on it

I would love this feature as well. Pretty hard to implement if there's an off season though.

Yeah, I should have clarified that there will of course be base stat's height, weight, etc.. historical stat's for performance, and the trophies stats's I was referrring to would be your performance. ie Stat's for a certain number of possessions, etc...

Any chance we can get a couple of trophies revealed? Would love to see what some of the "get more than X amount of possessions/marks/goals" trophies are so I can prep myself for trophy whoring.

Around 20 months in development

Surprising amount of development time TBH. I expected only 12-15 months, but 20 is a lot more than I was expecting.

4 more months for it to hit the 2 year mark (which is generally the turn around for regular titles)...hmm 2011 release I reckon.

That's up to the publisher, entirely up to them.

I know that "NRL Live" has a free footy at EB if you pre-order, so I am hoping they do something for the AFL pre-orders as well - as soon as I know I'll post something here.
