Off Topic: When is the cricket game from big ant going to be released?
 
THIS game needs 7 MINUTE quarters!!!!
seriously the simulated game scores on 5 minutes are silly. 52 - 35 i mean whats that??

AND 10 minutes is too much scoring, and come on whats the point of 12 and 20 minutes??? does anyone actually play those??

we need 7 minuter quarters i cant be bothered otherwise it feels stupid having unrealistic scores. Its just frustrating. Disposals i can live with but scores need to be realistic and i think 7 minute quarters would do this.

Please add 7 minute quarters in this patch PLEEEAAAAASSEEEE!!


Great gameplay very VERY good and i can live with the limited features thats fine i know that will come BUT WE NEED 7 MINUTE QUARTERS or i just dont feel like playing it as unrealistic scores really take the shine off the brilliant gameplay!

At the very least can you UP the simulated game scores its soooo silly having your team produce the top 5 goal scorers in the league - because sim teams score 6 goals a game.

ah WTF i just finished a game vs collingwood in rd 5, i was trying to get the hot streak trophy and it came up, then the game was saving but it was taking too long so i pressed the PS button and quit game then my ps3 reset, i then went back on the game and realised that all the stats on the main menu (kicks, goals marks ETC.) were back to 0 then i look at the award room or watever its called and its empty, then i look my custom teams and its all gone. So everything is gone -_- at least i still have the trophies. So pissed off but Ross its still a very good game but im not happy rite now.
 
sorry if its been mentioned before but does it always happen that the coleman medallist always wins the brownlow? has happened to me twice and the norm smith being won by the same player even though he didnt play in the gf?
 
I finished a season last night co-op, won the flag and I didn't get top 3 in the Brownlow.

Coleman and Normy went to Tippett, Gold Coast finished 2nd bottom (ahead of West Coast) yet Ablett won the Brownlow by 10 votes!
 
Def agree with the times. In sick of seeing teams score 30pts and win a game in season. In 2k11 they had simulation quarter length. I played 7 min quarters and simmed the other games and the scores matched perfectly.

Makes it hard to get into when the scores are stupidly low.
 
Bumped up the difficulty, i almost want to bump it back down.... it's only professional (so it's very weak on my part), but grrr i'm finding it a struggle to push forward and win. I actually got the end to end achievement by fluke after the kick in, i won possession of the ball, kicked it to an open space on the wing. I wasn't paying much attention at the time, didn't realise that i was closest to the ball (i was going to give up possession at that time). Seeing that nobody had picked up the ball, i rushed to it kicked it forward and managed to score.

It's funny though the difficulty jump has made the game a lot more scrappy, while i can still contest marks when defending.... trying to mark the ball as a forward was very tough. I loved that the AI still made mistakes (even a Cameron Mooney-esque goal kicking attempt went awry... which made me giggle), while i played on for a bit and paid the price with being pinged for holding the ball 23907209434 times.... the cpu did it just as much, so i was able to nullify my stuffups in that regard. I was lucky in that they were not accurate with goal kicking, managed to win by 8 and 13 points in the 2 games i have played on professional.

I had a few opportunities to get the long distance scoring achievements, had 6 attempts.... had the distance sorted, accuracy was a different story (3 kicks were direct points, 1 was punched in..... 2 went out of bounds on the full).

Had a funny moment where i didn't get pinged for deliberatly taking the ball out of bounds. I lol'd as i had time and plenty of space to do something with it.... yet i chose to run the opposite direction and it was called as a ball up.
 
Thanks for the image, the guys in QA here are looking at it. We think we may already have stopped this happening with the exisiting patch with relation to other fixes for injuries and interchange.

Pretty sure it has to do with the sub and when he comes on. Happens to me after I do the sub or sometimes it freezes instead/as well. Ross and his team are on the case I believe.

Had another 2 games freeze on me today. From what I've noticed, it has a lot to do with the sub (who I now sub on using the d-pad with no probs), but I'm noticing it might also have something to do with making interchanges (not with d-pad) during quarter time breaks or just before the center bounce at the start of a quarter or after a goal, especially when interchanging rucks.
No problems Ross.:) I quit that game because I hadn't the slightest idea as to what was going on, next game I played it didn't happen. I don't think I had used Gaff yet, but I definitely do interchanges in the middle of quarters and at the breaks. When I use Naitanui in the ruck, I usually have Cox in the forward line, and if I go to swap them at a break, Naitanui remains in the ruck, but I can't control him, and I can control Cox from wherever he is on the ground. Then at the last minute he comes in and wins the tap. I believe you guys have already heard this, sorry if you have.

EDIT: I do the interchanges through the pause menu, not the D-pad

My Coleman medallist DID NOT win the brownlow, but the brownlow winner took out the norm smith medal with 30 secs game time and 0 stats.

On higher difficulties does the CPU always break bloody tackles and/or flick out perfect handballs when they're seemingly no chance to do so?
I blame the catch up type modes when the ball spills PERFECTLY for them in a tackle 6 times in a row leading to a goal. The computer is cheating their way to catching up.

Bumped up the difficulty, i almost want to bump it back down.... it's only professional (so it's very weak on my part), but grrr i'm finding it a struggle to push forward and win.

I lost my first 2 games on professional and went the rest of the season with only losing once more. Once you get used to it it's very easy. I had a couple of close encounters including 2 very competitive finals but I ended up winning the grand final by over 100 points.
I'm now doing a veteran season, I've won my first 3 games so far but the scores are much closer. Hopefully it keeps going like this and I don't start destroying every team again.
 
Just finished my first season on legend, 5 min qtrs with the Hawks and am up to the finals now :)

Finished 1st with 1 loss. 3 games clear of second placed Collingwood.

Buddy missed out on the Brownlow by 2 votes to McVeigh from the Swans (who finished 8th on the ladder) and also came in second for the Coleman to Roughead (78 goals and 52 goals). Fev finished 3rd.

Was a fun season and am looking forward to finals.

One little exploit in offline gameplay I just found out in that last game is that when the AI takes a mark or receives a free, if your player standing the mark runs just off the mark enough, the AI will play on and it's possible most of the time to run back in with your player and tackle them or at least smother their kick. Same for when they are taking a set shot at goal.

I'm obviously not doing this now that I know it and thank god it can't work online. The only thing I could think of to stop it might be to make the AI only play on when the man on the mark is a few more meters away then what it's currently set to now.

Not really a big deal though as it's completely avoidable on the user's behalf.

There isn't a catch up mode, if anything it works the opposite way, when you are on a roll you get momentum and keep scoring.

Just a couple of things that could be put into a further patch.

Will the Brownlow/Norm Smith bug be addressed in this patch? :confused:

Im creating the Blues of 1995 team and was wondering how you assign a player their correct number eg Kernahan 4, Williams 2 etc? It seems to have given them a number based on the order they were created by me.
Any suggestions??

Yes, that is how it works, so i suggest you create them in the order of their number.
 
Long time reader, just decided to register. Loving the game Ross, so many exciting games against my brother (won the first game with a banana after the siren from the pocket :D ). Just a glitch that i have experienced is that when I line up for goal my brother can bump my player and it is just called play on. Sometimes it may be paid 50 but most times my player tends to drop the ball and he clears it out of my attacking 50.

Don't necessarily have to create them in order, but just make sure you sign them to the team in order.
