Got another forfeit next to my name because the team selection screen got stuck. I had to turn the ps3 off. Match didn't even start...

You get a forfeit if you quit (or get a freeze) anytime after the team selection screen (so from the jumper selection screen).

I've just recently gone down to a "Terrible (65)" reliability rating thanks to a few more random freezes. Now only getting 900-1600 XP per win instead of 2000+ :(

I sometimes get to the team selection screen and back out because I need to do something without any issues. :confused:

The best thing about starting again is the clean reliability rating. I'm on a good winning streak and am getting about 3,000xp per game at the moment. Not to mention all the bonuses from badges too.

Already managed to pick up the BigAnt badge as well. Cruising. :thumbsu:

While I'm in a complaining mood please make rain less common. Played like 6 games tonight, the only one that wasnt raining was at etihad. Rain sucks ass
 
How's the cheek on this bloke Grimshady313 on xbox live.

I played him in a ranked match. It was close the whole way through, then I kicked away and won. Then he invites me to a game. So I accept cause keen on a tough game, beats playing quitters you'd think.

Turns out this time I kept a 4 or 5 goal buffer for most of the game. Then started getting on top in the 3rd and the he quits.
Now I know it's not ranked and no experience points are on the line or anything. But if you invite me to a game and quit cause you've cracked the sh*ts cause you start losing. Just don't play mate.

The mind boggles.

I struggle to wrap my head around the way most people play on this game. Some people are ridiculous.
 
So I played 12 games, 11 of them were wet and one was dry/ The dry game consisted of my joystick somehow falling off centre while I flicked it and thus I need a new controller. Sell game for controller as the life of a uni student is tough and I can't afford both
 
It is getting to a stage online that you are almost scared of getting more than 4 goals in front, in the fear of your opponent quitting. I have had my second win (thank you thank you) on the weekend however I did have 3 guys quit on me when I got more than 4 goals up.:thumbsdown:

I have had my fair share of beltings and never quit so it is very frustrating. Even had one guy quit on me yesterday when I kicked 4 goals in a row - and I was still down 5 goals to 8 in the second quarter....go figure! :confused:

Just had an epic win against alexharves, was 2 players, they were being ***** and shot blocking me all game, most of the game I was a goal or 2 down. In the last two minutes I was infront 46-44, they had a set shot and hit the post to make it 46-45, exactly one minute left and i kick it out only for the ball to fall back in Leon Davis' hands, he kicks what looks like is going to be a point to tie it up but hits the point post, out on the full. The clock runs down and I win by a point, karma got them back!
 
just found another bug, I marked the ball outside 50 with nab cup rules on and my opponent tackled me giving away a 50, it gave me the option to have the shot for 9 or take the 50 meters, I chose to kick from 50 and after it glitched around for a few seconds, I took the shot and kicked it but I was only given 6 points.
 
hey guys, i'm on psn and play alot of games, would love to find some good players that dont manipulate the game or cheat by making a stupid team and just want to play a good full competetive game with a real team.

I never quit even if i'm getting beaten. I'm sick of the amount of idiots that quit after i get a goal or 2 up on them.
add me on psn, smithd132. and give us a yell for a game next time i'm on.

BTW all the complainers, and all the people out there you should be thanking Big Ant for making such a good game in the first place, all i read is about how crap all the bugs are and how crap the gameplay is?...

Sure there are bugs i know there are bugs, they are a bit anoying but really what game doesnt have flipping bugs in it at launch?, most of you are acting like there has never been a bug in any game before. i play this alot and most of the time its great.

But think about this, THINK how hard it is to make a game with such complex mechanics like an AFL game, think about how bloody quick afl is now days, try making a AFL game that can keep up without there been any bugs in it.

Like any game give it time for the updates to come out and this will just get even better.

I look forward to the patch coming soon, and keep up the good work Big Ant Studios.

May have found a way to at least partly counter those who block. Just mucking around tonight, i took a mark and instead of pressing square straight away i went back 20 or 30m, the opponent followed and then i pressed square, instantly taking me back to the set shot screen and the blocker was no where to be seen.

Just an option for you guys to try and, and i probably realize if they are that keen to exploit the game they will probably work out a way to counter this pretty quickly, but it worked for me the few times i tried it.
 
I get around blockers a few ways. If I'm close enough, just normal kick for a goal. If a bit further out, I give it a few seconds to see what they do with their man, and then instead of going to the goal kick screen, I walk my player forward so they are now between my opponent and the goals. Hit sprint to play on and then slam through a goal (of course, make sure you have the space for this).
 
Its only been a couple months but just realised why I couldnt get my 95 Carlton custon team online. Michael Sexton!!!!!! Wont let me put his name online. Why does Sex make things so difficult! Michael Secton - Im online :)
