Yeah I saw those aswell, no big deal though. Unless Ross' pockets are a few tonnes heavier on his way home from his "conference" then it's something that'll probably always be there. Even games on massive budgets have spatial issues (i.e feet not touching ground etc.)

True. And you're right, it's not a big deal just something that hit me when I saw the first screenshot. Overall I'm impressed with the way this game looks.

Now we need to see it in motion. :D

Too true ea has massive budget(guessing millions dont know how much for each game individually) and the fifa and madden games series has the same problems as what the new afl game has.

And the thing to be noted is that no game can be completely bug or glitch free it is virtually impossible to do so.

It could be that the player taking the mark has pushed himself off the other player's back - ala Gary Moorcroft.

Believe me it could be worse.

I was playing FIFA earlier, and a player from the other team slide tackled me illegally, but the game made it so the ball was knocked out so it was no foul, but basically the ball was a good meter away from his foot.

But then again it was on World Class so the game does blatantly cheat alot.

Thought the screens were excellent, my favourites being the Carlton/Collingwood contest and the Saints/Pies tackle, looks sweet.

I showed them to my English friend who has never lived in Australia and basically only plays FIFA games, and even he was impressed (mind you he has played a little bit of AFL 2006 with me). The shots got an English FIFA fan to say the words: "****, they look awesome.". That's pretty huge.

Btw, someone guessed that it was Davis in the Carl/Coll contest, pretty sure it's Harry O.

There was also a gripe with the first screenshot. The knees off the back thing didn't bother me, as someone else said (I really shouldn't be too lazy to quote) it looks like he's propelled himself. The wrist thing does look a bit iffy but I'm not really fussed, I'd imagine it's a hard thing to perfect.

Well done BAS, they do look superb.

The stadiums look great but I've got to be honest, that first shot of the Essendon player taking a speccy bothers me. He's knees are about a foot off the Carlton players back. This is a problem that plagued the IR Gurus AFL games. He also looks like he's marking the ball with his wrists.

That eyesore aside the player models look decent. Not as great as some people are making out but definately better than previous efforts. At least we have real player faces this time.

Not saying your wrong but it's hards to tell at what point from a still image he is at of the mark, has he made contact yet with the player? Is he about to? Same with the ball, is he dropping it? which way was his momentum going etc?

The least of our worries as said :)

It looks fine in motion, I don't think you'll notice it much, if at all.

The screenshots look great. I'm getting more excited to play this the more screenshots I see.

Same here. You going to jump straight into a season or play a couple of exhibitions just to get started? That goes for anyone.

I'll be gettin' straight into the real stuff.

In past AFL games I have played exhibition games first. Get a feel for the game without too much pressure. Then I will jump into a season when I am comfortable with the game.

Hey i joined this website just for discussion on this game..pretty pumped. Appreciate the input from the guys at Wicked Witch and Big Ant, much appreciated . Only found out the Wii and PS3/Xbox game were completly different games today, to be honest I think ill be buying both games haha. A few questions, if they have been answered sorry, I didnt read all 63 pages.

- If you could elaborate on the custom team creation, ie: gurneys logo/colours, mascots?, players available, home stadiums, and any other information would be great about that

- After the first season, will the fixture be the same every year, or will it me mixed up to allow variety

- Just a small thing - can players wear long sleeve guernsys? I know about the socks and stuff, but just wondering?

- Any more information regarding career mode would be awesome

FE. Nab Cup games would also be good trial games.

I'd like to know this too. I'm guessing at the beginning of your career mode you can choose whether or not you want random fixtures of the 2011 fixture? And whichever you choose would remain throughout.

i was in my local eb store today, noticed on the back of the cover that it mentioned teams from all over australias footy leagues were included ie wafl, vfl, tac cup, find this a little hard to believe, has anyone else this on the covers at eb stores

Even though the old AFL games weren't the best, i did like how each year the fixture was mixed up, except for playing collingwood v carlton at telstra dome or something. so hopefully they do mix up the fixture each season
