Exactly. Bronco's and the lions could both fill much bigger stadiums right now. Not sure what they will do after Victoria park comes along, but the broncs are in desperate need of a bigger stadium like the lions are right now.Yes averages are a moot point with both broncos and lions being restricted by their stadium capacities anyway. Each would be averaging 5k higher this year if they had a bigger stadium.
Interesting thought. The Suns also by that point will have grown more and can take 3 home games to the new oval and average 40k for those games.
At 63k the new oval for the lions will be more than big enough for the future
But 52k is hardly anywhere close .
Yes and I’d say it’s even a bigger problem for the broncos than the lions. They sold out or practically sold out many games this year, and if they win the gf likely every single home game next year will be sold out. They’re restricted by members not showing up etc.
At 63k the new oval for the lions will be more than big enough for the future. But 52k is hardly anywhere close what’s needed for a rectangular stadium in Brisbane. Collingwood, Carlton, Brisbane.

well so did the lions and they sellout most games each year.
Wrong again.Lions are much closer to the actual capacity of the their home ground.
The capacity of the gabba is closer to 36 000 these days max for finals and 33 000 max for home and away due to gabba members and the I installation of two scoreboards and the development behind the two dugouts and the brooks blooms area. The 42k on wiki is about 20 plus years old.Wrong again.
Broncos 41,200/52,500 = 0.781
Lions 30,500/42,000 =0.726
All you do is post bull crap.
“Much closer”
Yes you are wrong again.Wrong again.
Can you show when the Lions outdrew the Broncos during the Lions drought, or since the drought where they've consistently finished in the top 4?
Also Lions have won 5 premierships in the time Broncos have won just 2 in the last 25 years.
They have not.
Not to pick nits but he said 'since the Lions drought years' which I corrected him on, like your data shows the Lions did not have any higher averages during those years or after. Lions for sure had an amazing run of crowds in their trifecta years following the early 2000s when nrl was still rebuilding from the super league wars, and I'm sure the Lions will have another good bump when they move into their new stadium.
Most kids that play soccer end up following the dominant code in their city/state - AFL or rugby league. A smaller portion end up casually supporting EPL and even less become more fervent A-league supporters.
Well this coming week will be all about the Broncos, and the Lions will be hardly mentioned.
How as the prelim final?
.Too bad not a single actual fan of rectangular sports shares that view.A good multi-purpose stadium like Perth Stadium would do the trick for all codes
and saves heaps of money.

I don’t know about hardly mentioned, on national news it’s been the leading sports story and it’s gotten a pretty decent run over the last 48 hours as expected across the QLD networks. The main fan meet is on Wednesday and then of course, the Bronx should rightfully take centre stage because the AFL season has been completed. Gets more than enough coverage even on the NRLs FTA broadcaster to the point that your mate Vlandys had to spit the dummy hahaWell this coming week will be all about the Broncos, and the Lions will be hardly mentioned.
…one club official, who chose not to be named, said, “Channel 9 did a better job promoting the AFL than Channel 7, their rights holders.
“Seriously, why would they want to encourage viewers to watch an event on another network?”
The show also gave more airtime to covering the Brisbane Lions’ AFL grand final triumph than the Broncos ending Penrith’s dynasty on Sunday
Saturday’s decider between Brisbane and Geelong had a viewership of a whopping 6.09 million people on Channel 7’s main channel and 7Plus.
The AFL audience was slightly more than last year’s Lions v Swans decider, with the showcase event continuing to outperform the NRL grand final.
