I'm finding it hard to pick a clear winner for the Pies/Cats match, so I was looking at the game total.

At the moment, it's set at about 204.5 over or under.

What are your thoughts on this?

I'm thinking over, but it's a lot higher then the Freo/Pies game was last week.

If you are finding it hard to pick a clear winner and you are finding it hard to pick the game total then just don't bet. There are plenty of other games to bet on.

Tough round this week.

Multi:
Dogs > 24.5
Bombers > 24.5
Brisbane < 39.5
Hawks straight
@ $25.70

I think the Hawks are good value at $3. Like everyone else, Carlton are way too short.

I know the Hawks look shot and don't play 'The Dome' well.........however geez $1.40 is short for the Blues.
Thats about the best team Hawthorn have fielded for a year....... The Blues have a few out and could be due a flat one...... Hawks still have a fair group of onballers and they are going to get hot one of these weeks and that forward line can still kick a winning score with supply.

They fielded the exact same team last week. If Tuck had not of screwed up in the last 50 seconds and Richmond won, Carlton would be about 15 cents shorter. I don't know how anyone can justify putting money on Hawthorn, what have they shown you in the last 30 rounds that makes you want to put money on them?

Not to mention the team they are playing have been great this year imo and should make top 4. I actually think Hawthorn match up quite well against Carlton and Haw are basically at full strength. But the teams are so far apart in terms of form that I think Carlton should be about $1.18. Will include Carlton in a multi because I don't usually like to take $1.4 unless I am REALLY sure.

Carlton have beaten Geelong, St Kilda and Port away and gave Collingwood a good run for three quarters. Why is everyone expecting something from Hawthorn which they clearly haven't been able to deliver? Betting is a lot about eliminating guesswork, surely the Carlton line is fairly short given the respective form lines, they are a no-brainer IMO. Obviously not guaranteed, but what is in punting.

Geelong +24.5/Carlton Win/Essendon Win @ $2.09

Pretty short odds for a treble but really can't see Carlton or Essendon losing and I think Geelong will win but have gone conservative and will take 4 goals start.

Thoughts?

Bulldogs -24.5 @ $1.92 x $20
Port -10.5 @ $1.92 x $20
Essendon -24.5 @ $1.92 x $20
Carlton -19.5 @ $1.92 x $20

YTD 8-16

Only issue if Geelong lose (which I don't think they will), will be more than 6 goals. But really you'd take +24.5 more times than not. Carlton should win, but there has been talk that they could slip up and Hawks slowly getting their best team on the park, but Blues should win if they consider themselves a finals threat. Essendon to win... no comment needed, playing Richmond.

Thanks mate :D Are you on any of the same bets/markets?

Was on Bartel/Swan to beat Ablett/Chapman in DT points tonight. :thumbsu:
Either sides under 15.5 points :thumbsd:
Crowd < 90000 :thumbsu:
Swan most DT points for Collingwood :thumbsu:
Swan most DT points in top 8 :thumbsd:

I tend to bet on the DT points markets more often than most possessions.
Still haven't got a TAB account yet, and a lot of my usual bookies are down for some reason.

Palmer is looking good at the $15 :)

Well done tonight, looks like you would be up :thumbsu:

Let's not pump up Palmer at 15's too much. We gave Sewell the kiss of death last week haha!

Not too much action for me this week, these are my finalised bets:

Multiples:

WB+PA: 1 unit @ $1.96
WB+Car: 1 unit @ $1.73

Guys,

There has been a lot of rain in Sydney & a friend of mine who lives near the SCG said it will be under water.

The TAB is betting $4.50 match points 150 or Under, you can then cover on 151-160 @ $7.00 as it should be very low scoring with the ball sliding all over the place.

I doubt this price will last long.

Anyone else in Sydney can confirm this weather?
