Finally after two hours sent three tickets. Turned wifi off and on, updated the app, deleted the app, reinstalled the app, logged off and on. No rhyme or reason as to why it does or doesn’t work

The MCG only has 95,000 seats with a maximum of approx 5,000 standing room spots. Standing room would be variably released by the AFL depending on the demand for the match. For the GF it’s always the max of course but it absolutely jam packed so there probably a fine balance of managing demand vs spectator comfort. I’d expect both prelims to be very high 90s this weekend though.Random Q but why does the MCG never have 100K for non-GF matches, even when it is completely sold out?
Both games this weekend would easily crack 100K but for some reason they won't - it's not only MCC, but I suspect they sell more standing room tickets to the GF itself? If so, why not for prelims?
Cheers. Don't understand why it's OK for the GF but not other matches. Many would want to watch the prelims in a packed standing bay.The MCG only has 95,000 seats with a maximum of approx 5,000 standing room spots. absolute ****ing joke, but we knew this.
P16-P24 **** sake. 7 years ago we had the whole level, then P16-P21 was stolen, now to P24 and from 2027 it will all be gone.absolute ****ing joke, but we knew this.
I expect all L1 undercover to be medallion club by 2030
I already had a feeling it was long gone.P16-P24 **** sake. 7 years ago we had the whole level, then P16-P24 and from 2027 it will all be gone.
When Melbourne plays any interstate side, the dogs, north, st kilda or hawthorn we just sit in P17/P18 in row F because it is always empty and nobody cares because everyone else in the bay is doing the same thing.I already had a feeling it was long gone.
It essentially is because they wait until the game starts before deciding to remove the reserved signs, stopping people from bothering to wander up.
Add in corporate freebies, auskick, etc etc it is a shitshow at the **** factory
Soon we'll be having to go into GA to get seatsUnfortunately its the AFL Reserve. Not AFL members reserve so auskick, medallion club, reciprocal arrangements etc will be put in the AFL reserve.
That being said I would have thought SACA, WACA members would go into the MCC since that's the cricket area
It was called the AFL Members Reserve previously.Unfortunately its the AFL Reserve. Not AFL members reserve so auskick, medallion club, reciprocal arrangements etc will be put in the AFL reserve.

Wish they wouldn't close the top level of the AFL members for most MFC home games so I can have four bays all to myself, but first world problems I guess. When Melbourne plays any interstate side, the dogs, north, st kilda or hawthorn we just sit in P17/P18 in row F because it is always empty and nobody cares because everyone else in the bay is doing the same thing.
Pre covid used to sit 2a on the wing .other than some big games never an issue ,havent sat since paid seats ,even post covidWish they wouldn't close the top level of the AFL members for most MFC home games so I can have four bays all to myself, but first world problems I guess.
They do. And Centre Wing members from Marvel Stadium have reciprocal rights to buy MCC tickets too for some reason despite it being an AFL owned membership package. That being said I would have thought SACA, WACA members would go into the MCC since that's the cricket area
It is a reciprocal rights thing. MCC can get level 2 Marvel tickets for $20.They do. And Centre Wing members from Marvel Stadium have reciprocal rights to buy MCC tickets too for some reason despite it being an AFL owned membership package.
So they are now starting to take L1 undercover?
Grubs
They have for years. Could even be decades. There's always been more than just AFL members in the reserve. So they are now starting to take L1 undercover?
GrGrubs
And they pay $8k for that privilege. So the elites get 3-4 days to claim a ticket yet us plebs have to rush on and grab one within an hour time frame. Seems like standard AFL protocol.....
What is next? L1 Open? They have taken M undercover for a few years now. Up until about M24 M undercover is for the medallion club.
