The AFL should have looked at redeveloping Punt Road Oval as the Home of Women's Football. Make it a 30-seat stadium. They could even keep the small ground dimensions.

The stadium is owned by the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust, set up by the State Government. Not sure the Geelong Council own it at all. They operate 65% of the park, including the community facilities. The trust operate the remaining 35% which includes the stadium.

Kardinia makes sense if you relocate North or Footscray down there and get home games alternating with Geelong every week.
