What I find really really disappointing is all the negative comments on social media about the scoreline. Was it a low scoring match? Yes but there were reasons for it. It was due to conditions and fatigue as well. A fantastic effort by our girls and sadly we just ran out of legs. What should be mentioned though is the Giants experience with wet games. They have played about half a dozen of wet weather matches as a team versus this being our first match

they simply don’t know what they are talking about.anyone that’s played even a minimal amount of footy knows what happens to a Sherrin when played in heavy conditions

This result does hurt looking at the other teams in our conference this weekend.

You should see the first half. The effort the girls put in was brilliant. Can't fault their intent and effort, given the conditions. It's good signs going forward.

Of course, and in the end, the experience of the giants won out. A bit more cleaner with the ball. But overall, I'm pleased.

To compare. Lions started on fire, got 20 points lead. Before half time Crows started to dominate but could not convert. It will be interesting 2nd half.

I've only been watching since half time but it's not surprising to see Wuetschner and Lutkins dominating at either end. Adelaide are really struggling to get it inside 50 and when they do they turn it over. Lions have been good in transition and accurate in front of goal. Arnell has 2 goals.

Looks like it's going to be a surprisingly good day for both QLD footy teams.

It’s not so much singling out this particular game it’s every single social media post about aflw in general unfortunately..
some of the comments are actually disgusting and the disappointing thing is 99.9% of the comments are from men some even with pictures of their daughters in the profile pic!

Would be nice if the Cats were to lose to Fremantle tomorrow as it would mean we are only outside of the Conference A top 3 by 2% with an upcoming home game against the bottom placed Tigers. I've got a good feeling about the Richmond match up next week!

Looks like that's a no. Would be awesome to get Whap-Farrar and Hampson back in 2-3 weeks as both were U18 AA players last year and can definitely contribute to our already strong backline.
