I don't see it working because GWS will then have to use 8 on Hopper. That's the bonus of 7 to them it allows them to keep 8 and get Hopper relatively comfortably.

It's in the unlikely basket for me.

That's a strangely irrational response.

It's two first round picks and a second round pick for a guy that would go top 3, another that would go 10-15 and a third that would comfortably slot into the top 20-25.

On top of that they each have a minimum of two years in the system already.

Plays reserves for the best team in the comp which usually gets you extra credits, got games early this year and did stuff all.

I wont name who it was but i was friends with one of the "come home 5" immediate family member.

I remember asking him before this player was drafted many years ago and him telling me how badly some of his interstate interviews had gone and how he really didn't want to leave Victoria (im sure this is why an interstate club all the experts tipped him to go passed). Well to no surprise a couple of years later he requested a trade back home (which he got) Then Brisbane sook up about kids leaving, drafting 18 year olds who simply don't want to go there.

They really need to do there research before taking certain kids. Look at Cripps who said being away from home is no issue because he went to boarding school.

The clubs were warned about this weeks ago that compensation isn't what it used to be. That, added to finishing second on the ladder will lead to that result.
