These rules are also to be interpreted in conjunction with the sitewide rules https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/help/terms/
The objective of the Polls Board is to have a board where posters can compare and debate players in a sensible manner. If you are not interested in posting in a sensible manner your access will be removed.
This is the poll board and not bay 13. If you wish to post up a new poll, it needs to abide by the rules. If you post up a poll that is a blatent troll/belongs in bay 13 then penalties including permanent bans will be handed out.
Thread titles should give a clear indication of the topic. Apart from not wasting users time it make Searching Titles more accurate.
No name calling or abuse of posters is tolerated and this also applies to the nicknames given to clubs.
Stay on topic - Don't attack the team of a poster that posts something you don't like or agree with - This is one of the biggest reasons why topics get derailed and we will be cracking down on this. If a thread has started to go off-topic, don't add to the problem. Using the excuse 'It was already off-topic' when you receive an infraction won't work.
Posts such as 'Culture', 'I agree', 'Gold' etc are not wanted and will be dealt with.
Trolling other teams is not sensible football discussion and having the sentence "This is not a troll but..." doesn't exempt it from being a troll and leave injured players out of it all together.
Do not post rumours - If you can not back up your statement with facts that can be substantiated or a link to an article etc, do not post it.
The same goes for defamatory comments. If these are posted you will be permanently banned from the Polls Board.
If you see a post that breaches the rules report it, don't quote it and respond. If you think a thread doesn't belong on the AFL board, report it. Don't post in the thread saying it should be on x board.
Don't quote an entire post if you are responding to a part of it. Edit out the irrelevant parts.
Don't compare kids that have only played a handful games especially when one just happens to have a big game for the first time and lets give the kids a chance to mature at AFL level before creating threads to criticize blokes.
We don't need grammar teachers so leave out comments about spelling, sentence construction etc etc. Although constant txt like writing will earn you an infraction.
Posters that fail to follow the rules will be infracted and/or have their access removed.
If a poster decides to create a new account to get around the block, the new account will be banned and the previous account infracted or banned as well.
Questions about Moderation openly in threads will also not be looked upon highly and if you feel your posts are being deleted and are unsure why feel free to P.M any board Mod for clarification and you will be given Infractions for this.
