He inherited over $400 million dollars from his father in the early 1970's -the equivqalent of about 20 billion today . He is reprted to be worth around $8 billion today. So he has actually squandered some of his inheritance. His father made his fortune out of brothels and real estate.

What successful business has he run ?
Very little, in fact he has sent 4 Casinos broke. I mean , how do you send a casino broke? it is a license to print money.l Only a village idiot sends a casino broke. By the way most of the staff working at the casino lost millions in unpaid wages and several small buisnesses were sent to the wall. None have since been paid, yet the prick bangs on about how rich he is.

Is he a sleaze bag?
He used to hold parties with a friend of his who is now in jail after being convicted of rapeing several girls aged 13 and under at these parties. Does this prove his guilt? No, but you have to wonder when he supplied a charater reference for the defendant that basically said his friend was a great guy but like himself, had an eye for young girls. Do we forget his 'you can just grab women by the pussy' comments.

Then village idiot number 2 , George Bush Jnr revisited trickle down economics and deregulation and guess what, the GFC. Now along comes village idiot number 3 , Donald Trump. And what is the first thing he does. He gets rid of the Dodds-Frank laws that were put in place to stop banks from doing the type of predatory loans that led to the GFC. And let's try another serve of trickle down economics for good measure.

There is a reason that interest rates are virtually zero and in some countries in negative territory. It is because trickle down economics and its accompanying economic rationalism has bankrupted almost every Western economy.

Thanks to the morons who keep voting for village idiots like Trump.

Refusing to let premises to people of colour. Okay?

The notions of left and right, liberal and conservative, socialism and capitalism have only been used for 200 years, are learnt day 1 and every day thereafter in any kind of political science theory study at university all over the world and are used as shorthand to sum up political ideologies both in study of history and today, so it exists whether you want to acknowledge the spectrum or not. I'll take the word of my university lecturers on the political compass before yours. They are only meaningless if you don't understand what they mean.

All I can see from your little list is a tycoon who has had his wins and losses, which is hardly unusual, digging up his personal life which is his business (would you like to be publicly scrutinised for yours?), and a severe case of sensitivity to hyperbole.

I don't even like Trump that much but the hostility and ill will directed towards him is over the top. You should realise by now people just end up voting for the less of two evils and Trump believe it or not is the less frightening outcome than rabid, Left leaning social liberals and most people just want to maintain the status quo as much as possible and are conservative which is why the media are proven dead wrong time and again when it comes to elections.

It's more an indictment on his opponents than Trump that he is seen as the friendlier option and I think even he is surprised by that. I'm not, social liberals have been eroding society piece by piece and if given any real power it would be catastrophic and end this period of civilisation because they have no concept of rationality and are governed by emotion and fervour and false beliefs.

They are voted out more than Trump is votes in.

If that is all you can see, well no point in discussing as you seem to not have a problem with liars, dishonest business man, paying hush money, committing adultery, and having racist tendencies. Okay you don't have a problem but I do and it has nothing whatsoever to do with politics, just the individual.

However, I am not attacking your view so best if you don't attack others that have an opposing view - leave it to others.

I'll just say despite all the reasons to dislike him he's still more popular than the alternatives. The silent majority just sit back and watch. There's a lot of hot air year round from a few that gets shown for what it is come election time.

You are attacking Trump the individual, not the politics and I got individually attacked for showing the other side of the coin, I got called a racist and fellow pedo which is far beyond anything I have said so don't try to hush me up because my opinion is different to yours... I'm not attacking anybody. Can't you see the hypocrisy that anyone who has anything to say that is not anti Trump, not even pro Trump, is censored and told to shut up by so called tolerant, open minded liberal people. Until they disagree with you then they shut you up. 😂
 
The hard Left will never let up on Trump, even after office, because they are the self-appointed defenders of the moral high ground [as interpreted by them]. And as such, they can never be wrong.

But they were wrong, and Trump's victory is to them, the hard Left, an ongoing fundamental existential and theocratic heresy, rubbed in their faces every day; driving them crazy; to be expunged by whatever it takes.

I am talking about the hard Left - and I can quite equally criticize the hard right.

It's the mainstream and independent voters who win elections, not extremists, and hyperbolic, heated opinions are merely click-bait in an unfortunately highly volatile and partisan political environment.

Trump is the professional politicians'/nomenklatura's/apparatchiks' living nightmare, pilloried 24/7 from all quarters. Not a politician but a businessman.

And as the old saying goes - When the flak is heaviest you know you are over the target...

The hard Left is what scares the mainstream away. Their own worst enemies, they propel the other side due to their own irrational and blind hatred and disdain and sheer vitriol makes Trump look the meek and milder option... he plays it beautifully just deflecting one attack after another. The attacker gets looked at more than the person being attacked.

You seem to have misread my post, the original post that I replied to was your post about Trump and his detractors, go back and check.

I have no problem with your opinion if that is what you believe and are prepared to discard the points I made, your choice.

My views remain, I despise him for all the things I stated, have no time for people like him and even worse that he is in a position of influence.

I don't discard the points, he's not a great human being but neither are most politicians. You have to be a special breed to get into it in the first place because no-one can stand up there long being honest and last very long. I just don't agree he is extra repugnant than many others I could name and find evidence to dirty. He's just another frog in a murky pond.

Don't think I can recall a politician from a Western country that repugnant (can be proven wrong though). That is the measuring stick I am using.

Too much hate and divisiveness in the world today, which is really sad and I suppose naively I still expect more from leaders in their given profession.

Anyway, just to derail this thread, I despise Melbourne more so GO PIES!!!

This is an example of people trying to pin everything on him. The El Paso shooter's profile lists himself as a Democrat and in his own manifesto he says Trump did not inspire him but don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.
 
I've always been a left leaning person.
Having said that I don't like what is happening to the left at the moment.
It is being overtaken by snow flake, PC, eternally offended radicals. When they don't like what you have to say they try to shut you down by calling you a sexist or a racist or a nazi etc etc.
These people are no better than the extreme right. They are against freedom of speech and are a blight on the left of politics.
