GTFOOH,

How many Queenslander's who have walked across a desert and even an other world to play with the Dockers dream team of today, who will win the FLAG this year, has been nominated for the All Australian Back Pocket Spot - Not even one to date - Therefore with the power invested in me I Nominate - the 1 Hollywood Lee Spurr to take out one of these two back pocket positions on the All Australian Team for 2014 - For verification of this nomination - Please watch the game on Sunday against the hot and cold Brisvegas Lions to see Lee repay the the club for an actual Airplane flight home to see his Mum and the numerous of heartbroken Brisbane girls he has left in is wake.

Be advised BrisVegas, the the boy who left as a person of interest, who "Quote" from a club recruiting officer "could not play" returns as a superstar under the super coach skills of Ross Lyons, who will have the Lions Footy Club and their supporters saying WTFWH/L? - For any Lions supporters tuned in, this translates too, Who The F--k Was He/Lee?.

Actually this could be the year for Ballas - AA selectors will be under pressure to throw an extra Freo player like him in so he can play in the International Rules match in Perth. AFL wants it to succeed and Perth fans are more likely to go if there are more Dockers and Eagles players playing but they cannot be selected if not an AA at least once under the rules agreed for this year. So ATM only Pav, McPharlin, Sandi and MJ are possible for the most successful Perth team of the last 7 years - bit of a problem for them.

Really good point.

Fyfe = 95% chance - 2 bullshi# suspensions might give them an excuse though.
Sandi = 70% chance
Ballas = 20% chance
Mundy = 10% chance

Alright, Ballantyne averages more goals than breust and provides more pressure. If they want a genuine small forward that plays like a junkyard dog, Ballaz in your man. None of this bullshit midfielders who kicked 20 goals being put in the forward pocket.

So who got in as a tagger / stopper / defensive midfielder?

It really annoys me that an established position / role that every modern AFL team has gets ignored as if that player's contribution is somehow less important than other roles.

I'd love to see Ballantyne get in. However, missing games through suspension/injury could hurt him.

Hayden Ballanytne, Fremantle. Never Previously All Australian. 19 games in 2014. 187 kicks, 83 marks, 49 handballs, averaging 9.8 kicks, 4.4 marks, 2.6 handballs. 49 Goals (Tenth in the AFL), 25 Behinds. 13 Clearances, 57 Inside 50, Seven Rebound 50m. 48 Tackles.

Up against some decent competition.

Luke Breust, Hawthorn. Never Previously All Australian. 22 games in 2014. 176 kicks, 72 marks, 162 handballs, averaging 8.0 kicks, 3.3 marks, 7.4 handballs. 53 Goals (seventh in the AFL), 10 Behinds. 40 Clearances, 65
Inside 50m, Nine Rebound 50m. 69 Tackles.

Eddie Betts, Adelaide Crows. Never Previously All Australian. 22 games in 2014. 167 kicks, 53 marks, 123 handballs, averaging 7.6 kicks, 2.4 marks, 5.6 handballs. 51 Goals (ninth in the AFL), 22 Behinds. 30 Clearances, 37 Inside 50m, Eight Rebound 50m. 74 Tackles.

I didn't realize Eddie Betts did so well. Ballas might be unlucky.

Fyfe and Sandilands should definitely be in.

One thing going for us is that in lieu of the new International rules game to be played at Pattersons this year - whereby only AA representatives could be selected.. The coaches in Al Clarkson did express a desire to be able to pick players that suited the oval and hoped that a few dockers would get in..

Personally I would hope that a mickey mouse farce like IR has absolutely no bearing on who is selected for the AA team.

Betts had a good first half of the season, finished OK too - was very ordinary in the middle. His numbers look good, helped because he didn't miss a game, but if you're picking an actual team you'd pick Balla on this years form over Betts every day of the week. There's no way Betts should get in over Balla IMHO.

Bruest, would be more likely to keep Balla out - supper accurate and plays for a 'profile club' which helps massively. Plays up the ground a bit too. If they go for only one true small(ish) fwd player, he might be it.
