I know that some people arn't able to watch as it is being shown on foxtel, but Egan has been very good tonight. He started as a leading forward and commanded the ball. Then he moved into the middle and got quite a bit, he then went down back and found more footy and used it well.

He has bulked up considerably. He has probably added 5-6 kg of muscle to his frame. He looks very promising tonight.

I agree but He has Been Playing Full Back a Bit:(

hard to judge his game as he was one of the all-stars talls

playing as a CHF for bits

and at FB/CHB on lucas for a while, good to try new roles i spose

but early he looked good on the wing/flank

His disposal by foot looks to have improved, speared some nice kicks. Couldn't really get into because A: All-stars were playing horrible and B: he played CHF then Full back on Lucas where he actually went pretty well one-on-one but was moved off him after a goal bounced Lucas' way and then he was moved to HBF where he went alright.

Only saw bits of it in the breaks of play during the cricket but he looked good when I saw him. I don't want to compare him to a legend because he is obviously not in the same class but he reminds me of mcleod more and more every day. Just the way he lopes, its very mcleod like

Got amongst it in the first quarter and a half when he was on a wing.

Did a couple of nice things, and only one Egan-ish stuff up. Good footskills.

Then had bench time and stood Lucas for the third quarter, which yielded expected results. Poor AAS; if they ain't running the oppo off their feet, then they have to think about defending 195cm hulks with 185cm wingers!

Spent most of the last on the bench and then got a couple of ineffectual touches.

Ordinary last 2.5 quarters when on, but the role he was asked to do is irrelevant, so I will only pay attention to when he was playing the wing.

Looks very fit, showed dash and his hands and feet were good. Is uninjured. And he got experience he'll never have again.

The Bombers were tight and the AAS were essentially clueless in terms of picking an option.

I only saw the last half and he barely rated a mention .
Stood Lucas for the third who got one goal on him, but it is a match-up you can only laugh at.

Spent 80% of the last on the bench, before getting two kicks to finish. Was good-ish early on. Nothing to write home about, nothing to slash wrists over.

Cheers . The thing that stood out of course was the toal lack of KP players for the indigenous boys . Up against it when the game was 'old style' bomb it in . But there was just that general lack of run , carry and flair that they do so well .
Personally I think they have too many AFL players , and not enough locals that are more in tune with the game for February .

Yep I agree with this. You'd back him for a place in a 10 horse race if you could get odds of 8 - 1 or better but he's gotta perform on the day. Def. looked a little more muscled.

While I thought he's skills looked really good, actually I think everything he did when he had the ball looked almost 'silky', it was he's getting the ball that worried me.

There was just a few chances when the ball was in dispute, that just really frustrated me and definately confirmed how 'outside' he was. In saying this I only saw a bit over a half, but from the sounds it was he's better half. He just seemed to sit off a bit and wait, when he should have busted it, took the ball and weaved out, or dished one of those swooping handballs.

It really peeved me off, and made me dispel any chance of him playing in the middle this year... This is just my opinion, but he just didnt seem to want to deal with the thick stuff at all.. I guess this suits him more to the wing, but I'd still like to see him use that tall frame as a silky, weaving mid fielder, able to dish that big swooping handball out to a runner.

Anyone else agree with that? Oh by the way, in a small write up on the game I read he was mentioned alongside Mcleod and one other who I cant remember as one of the best for the AAS.

the bombers were at full strength apart from lloyd and the all stars had one training run together and white who has retired was their biggest player

I didn't take much notice of this game that has all the relevance of the Millennium match.

Good to hear Egan looked alright and has put on some weight.

The Bummers had a few decent players in the All Star team.

I did appear though that the Bummers came to play, and that the AAS were underdone in terms of cohesion. Still, I reckon the AAS could have "clicked" and made it at least tighter, but it wasn't to be and they had a rubbish night.

Hard to win a game with a team full of half-forwards

I'd delete your post if you hadn't clearly already embarrassed yourself.

Fellow Pie fans, my I suggest not bothering to respond to his foolish antics and just pitying him.

Don't stoop to his level by responding.
Yeah, When I first started at BigFooty I would of had a go at him for a comment like that, but I quickly learnt it is not acheiving anything, and just learnt to ingore them and just feel sorry for them.
