And just a two week suspension.
No one in the vicinity of this incident reported it.
That’s how much of a tight ship that the industry is. This incident is the tip of the iceberg.
Time the police get involved and this jockey serves time.

The people interviewed are the “punters” that are the lifeblood of the industry.
Slow but surely, right thinking people understand that animals for entertainment is wrong.

Depends, I liked her Caulfield win a lot but her Valley win was flattering considering the track bias, what worries me is the record of 3 year old Derby and Oaks contenders who fail to come up the year after or even in the Autumn.
The connections need to go for an Oaks no doubt but I would be waiting to see with this horse, there is no way you could be sold on her after 2 runs against same age horses in which is really a ho hum year for staying 3 year olds.
I feel Winx will be retired by the next Cox plate, by then she will be a seven year old mare and beating the same horses over and over again in Sydney may not appeal to Waller anymore, she is far more vunerable in Melbourne than up there and they may just pull the pin.

Which means of course that the dark side of the industry is open to discussion.
That you, like others, are prepared to play Ostrich on this issue doesn’t bother me.
You prefer to put your entertainment and so called “winning” culture ahead of the welfare of innocent animals says plenty about your, and others, morals.
