All Time Cricket Draft (AGAIN?)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Unless it's 65-89 :p
IMO you should be allowed to pick on FC debut, as it doesn't say necessarily "test" draft and many players have been picked for their FC exploits, e.g. WG Grace. Anyway, as it is, I get a batsmen from the subcontinent who scored outside the subcontinent and also had one of the best years of all time

Well, we're going off test stats...

I chose Frank Woolley on FC stats too...

Perhaps Danger in Texas could clarify?

I think we all know that it's a test draft haha. Did whoever picked grace mention his FC stats? I can't remember

Prove it.
In relation to WG Grace:
Was one I tossed up. Decent get in a hard era (pre 1930). Only thing that deterred me was his rather unimpressive test record
Yeah that did worry me but then again so did the talent in the Pre 1930s thought I better pounce before there wasn't much left.
So if he wasn't picked for his test record, what exactly was he picked on other than his FC record?

In relation to Frank Wooley (picked by Boshtrich Burger):
Awesome pick. Certainly not one you pick using stats, but a true all time great.

His FC stats are sublime as well.

Was a perfect get for my team as we were in need of an olden day player. :)
In regards to Wilfred Rhodes (I picked him):
I definitely mentioned him being the leading FC wicket taker:

Leading FC wicket taker ever goes alright. Decent opening bat too.

The WG Grace reference was you putting words in wacky tigers mouth. He picked him in relation to other players if the era? BB didn't mention first class stats in his original post, only when court jester mentioned it. You were the last one.

Jester said STATS in general weren't very good. BB then brought up his FC record. It's clear that the FC record influenced his selection. Same with Wackytiger, who clearly implied that they were picked WG from his FC record

The key two words that BB used are "as well". It implies that this wasn't part of his original pick. All WT said was that his test record did worry him, after you inferred his test stats. He then said that he made his decision because of other players in the era.

You're clutching at straws

Hey hey hey hey hey what's with u guys bringing me into your fights ;)

I picked W.G.Grace as he was named test player of the 19th century.

Plus there wasn't much to choose from of note

Just to clarify, I wouldn't even know what Woolley's FC stats are. I do know that he was a great test batsman, in spite of what appears to be a reasonably low test batting avg.

And to clarify further, on looking at his FC stats, they aren't very different to his test stats.

The thing that made FW great is summed up by his own quote: When I am batting I am the attack.

Seeing as no-one has offered to pick for me, I'm thinking that I should take my pick now and move my last pick to the end of the draft.

I thought I said I would...?

Send me over a list and I'll do it. :)
