The Speaker

Mate, you have 2 players in the 90's. You'll have to get rid of Gilly and have one of the others as your wildcard

Ah shit. I didn’t notice, I think I got confused as to the presence of a Zimbabwe player and a Bangladesh player, or whether we had to pick a player from 2000-2010.

Make inzamam the Wildcard.

Yep. Sorry but it had to be Gilly for the maths to add up. You can select any Australian, South African or West Indian from the 10's and 20's to replace

F***, thought I had snuck Les Ames in as my keeper for a second then realised I already had two Poms.
Jock Cameron averaged 30 behind the stumps when most other keepers were between 10-20. He will have to do.

Bob Cowper (AUS) 1960s

Kane Williamson (NZ) 2010s
Inzamam (Pakistan) Wildcard
Aravinda de Silva (SL) 1980s
Vijay Hazare (India) 1940s
Trevor Goddard (SA) 1950s
Jock Cameron (SA) 1920s wk
Heath Streak (Zim) 1990s
Michael Holding (WI) 1970s
Headley Verity (England) 1930s
SF Barnes (England) 1870-1910

Sorry mate, I just took him.

PhatBoy

Not the pick I thought you'd make with that one...

Would like to know what you were thinking, but I assume that player is still undrafted.

I went with Richie primarily cause I just wanted to have him in the team. I did consider someone else.

He might need to bowl more overs if he is going to bat at no 9, haha.

They are indeed undrafted.

So, for deciding the winner, I think we rank the sides 1-7 not including our own. So for example I might (this is without actually looking at the teams) vote:

1. Fade to Gray
2. PhatBoy
3. Nakia
4. The Speaker
5. Danger in Texas
6. Oaktree
7. spookism

1 being the best, 7 the worst. Lowest score wins.

Fade to Gray

Good line-up there. Strong batting and has 7 genuine bowling options. I like the 4 pace/3 spin balance more than 5/2 but that's just me.

Noble can come in if the pitch isn't suited to the quicker bowlers. Also, fun fact, Procter bowled off-spin at the end of his career, including during the WSC Supertests where he took 16 wickets @ 16.
