Look mate I appreciate that it took a while for you to draft that email, but if you really did send it they'll just chuck it in the trash.

Even if you do know better than the match committee (which, to be fair, you probably don't), they will think they know better than you, so comments about "why did you play this guy?" and "why don't you recruit a ruckman?" will fall on deaf ears.

If you really did want to send them an email that will be taken seriously, just tell them how pissed off you were with the performance and how crap it was to have to endure it (etc, etc). I think they might view it as an honest expression of how you feel rather than someone trying to be a back seat driver.
