I heard the news before AFL.com.au announced it, via a thread which was posted on the main board. Speculation is high at the moment, but who knows? Maybe Wallace might be at Carlton? I'd rather have Pagan, but if he isn't available, then I'd go for Wallace. He's a good coach, and is a great motivator. Better than Brittain IMO.

I'd be happy with Wallace, though more happy with Pagan. Wallace is very media friendly which I like a lot, since our club has become the least media friendly of all the clubs. I've always rated Wallace as a coach, and would perfer him easily over Brittain and Eade.

However I hear Sydney are actually the club that have made him the offer, not Carlton...so I dunno what will happen there. Terry says he'd rather stay in Melbourne though.:)

I'm surprised the Wallace resignation hasn't seen the light of day here. Everyone still at school?
No, it's called a day time job! Besides we have had so much speculation about coaches, players, presidents, draft picks etc etc etc, that we can no longer get excited about anything until it is official.

What are you guys worrying about, Dennis has already signed with us, relax, take a load of your feet. ;)
So you're questioning the man's integrity and honesty then?

In spite of the fact he has said he hasn't and won't speak to any other club until our season is over you are saying he is a bare faced lier and p*ssing in all of our pockets, none the least supporters of the club he is coach of?

And its Denis, not Dennis.

As previously stated it is D-e-n-i-s. Though conceding now that he may be Carlton's 2003 coach I certainly don't think it was the fait accompli announced by you several weeks ago. I think Denis would prefer to stay with the Roos but it doesn't look like we can afford him. Will this mean Corey gets "stale" again?

I thought it was pretty definite that Wallace is going to the Swans:confused:

I think I'd rather us keep Brits than take Wallace. Afterall what kind of coach does what he did to the doggies???

Sorry Footybabe, I don't see it as a major drama. AFL is no longer a "game" it is big business...and you need to look after number 1. If you don't want to stay in your full time job - you have the right to resign - no different in this case. What about all the coaches who have been given the boot by their club...this time it's in reverse. Good on him for having the courage of his convictions. I'd love to have Terry Wallace as the Carlton coach having seen the movie that was made a few years ago when he replaced Alan "Wet Fish" Joyce...
Loved the line "If anyone gets a pat on the back I'm gonna spew" after a close loss...

Thats true, I just think though that Wallace's timing was a bit off. He should have waited until the end of the season.
