Murray is a gun, no doubt about it. He has all the tools to become the top player in the world. His ground strokes are huge and his serve is good and improving with every tournament. He’s also getting more pace on the serve too. But perhaps his biggest strength is his return of serve. Brad Gilbert is a terrific coach and there’s no doubt he would have taught Murray a thing or two about returning serve. Some of those returns against Karlovic were sensational.

He needs to work on his temperament though as he’s a pretty fiery character out on court. Just an exceptional young player. :thumbsu:

He is such a smart player on court aswell, more often then not plays the right shot and he pulls the trigger at the right times. Just needs to control his temper sometimes.

He needs to put on some weight. He is thin as a bean pole.I will be an issue in the grand slams but not in these small tournaments.Terrific player but needs to work on his fitness

I guess you're referring some-what to his Australian Open exit. I'd probably agree. It's not always the most damaging or talented player that wins. Often it's the most determined.

If you look at Gasquet, Monfils and others though, you can see they're no different. I suppose Nadal is the exception to this trend.

Small difference..none of those are British!

I think he's trying to say the British are pansies. Personally I think there's a big difference in English and Scottish bravato. Hasn't anyone watched Brave Heart? ;)

Excuse me for being ignorant.... but what does that have to do with anything

Brits are hopeless in Slams, they are just the world known chokers thats all. If Murray was Spanish he'd win 10+ slams, now he's struggling to win 1.

lol murray is only british to english folk

Funny how when referring to Tim Henman the Aussies call him 'British' and when referring to Andy Murray they go out of their way to call him Scottish.

He represents the country of Great Britain, hence making him British.

He comes from Scotland which is a part of the British Empire, hence making him British.

Do you want me to keep going?

We call Russell Crowe "Australian" but for some reason let NZ have their own cricket team...?
