Movie Angels and Demons

Thought the book was clearly the darkest of all the DB books. Didnt like the ending though.

If done properly, it could be a very good movie.

The bad hair distracted me too much in the da vinci code. It looks like its back. WTF

I loved the book, but I'm struggling to see how they could successfully translate it into a movie without cutting a lot of small but important things out. From what i've seen of the movie (tralier and pictures) it appears they've changed a few things. I understand sicne they need to make it under two hours, but it would be great if every aspect of the book was accurately translated onto film: ie the camerlengo's entire speech, and the entire ending.

The book was better than The Da Vinci Code and I think it will convert to a much better movie so looking forward to it.

Terrible trailer though.
THIS MOVIE WAS SHITHOUSE. Sorry for the Caps but it was the most disappointing movie I have ever seen. Cut out probably 30-40% (guesswork) from the book, and I loved the book. It was an epic failure, and just annoyed me. If you like the book-do not see this, it will disappoint.

Spot on-large parts of beginning and end were missing.

Book was good up until the 100 pages, which was painful, felt like a soap opera writer took over.

agreed

and the ending was woeful. Seriously Dan Browns books are fairly ordinary and really alot on people sense of a cover up.

aw man that sucks to hear, i thought the book was brilliant. So what they don't have much of CERN, does the carmelengo get revealed as the son, and then appear to be a miracle on the roof? (vague recollections of the book)

What major parts of the book did they delete?

The bloke who killed the Pope being the Popes son, The falling out of the helicopter and saving his life with his Jacket part. Thats the main two parts but that esentially changes the ending.

Still the book was fairly avearge so they movie was always going to struggle.

Thats not too bad then, the whole jacket parachute survival was ****en stupid and nearly ruined the book for me.

me too I think I laughed out loud whilst reading the book

i thought that was explained in the movie?

all they said was the guy was adopted. In the book the pope fell in love with a nun and through artifical insemination they had a baby (so no sex - but considering the only other way to get the sperm out is also a sin or sorts) together.

i think this sounds like a spin off!

dan brown presents "illuminati - the real sin"

i hadn't read the book but saw this last night and really enjoyed it.
Ditto.

At first I thought the Illuminate were an actual secret society in service in the movie and then BANG! Nope, just an old enemy of the Catholic church brought up again to cover up the murders etc... of the Camerlengo.

It made for an awesome viewing.
