i've watched the show for a few years, and the audience they go for is moralistic, middle aged to older people, with a strong preference towards woman.

The funniest stuff is when Today Tonight try to hit back at Chaser by running stories about their "fake" segments and what not, especially when you consider that not long ago they were doing Chaser puff pieces every second week.

Jill Singer once hosted TT, (not sure if it was as bad back then), but she's also smart and not the tabloid type.

I think once you become host of one of these shows you are just a robot reading out a script, with some ad lib like 'certainy makes you wonder', or 'what an inspiration to us all'.
