I'm amazed that this is the one time that a group of australian sportspeople inject themselves into political life. Not a peep from them in the past. Was there anything similar done when the referendums took place? Who organised this non partisan letter? Will Albo and his wife get whisked away to New York or Tel Aviv if he doesnt comply?

I've always thought that we should allow a RC and put the actions of israel in gaza into its terms and the varioius intergovernmental exchanges between the two govts into the mix. Put the actions of various groups into the mix as well. The networking, the pressure tactics over the last 2 years. Put the activities of muslim and jewish groups into the mix. Lets get the whole story out.

Calls for a RC are getting louder and louder. Someone will need to be blamed and it is easier for the ALP to push Albo aside. That allows a reset. I said from day one his response was weak and he would be blamed for this. Despite the protests of this sub (which is a far left echo chamber) - I was correct.

I actually don’t think it is fair because yes Albo has been weak but he’s a small part of a much larger problem. But that’s politics

Albanese whilst disappointing in some areas is still doing a decent job and will easily win election. If he goes, it would be for Chalmers as Marles and Wong are duds and Plibersek is unelectable.

Just read the article. I wonder where Daniel Andrews would sit in his estimation in this context? I use him as the example as he’s probably the most successful Labor leader of recent times, but I think he was also far bolder than Albanese.

As time passes, the scope of Andrews dishonesty, incompetence and corruption becomes more and more obvious. The only reason, he survived so long was due to the pathetic nature of the opposition that essentially did everything it could to lose the elections.
