Any changes to the side this week?

Thompson didn’t believe there was any downside to his team having last weekend off, saying his players were able to overcome any niggles during that time.

He said he would go in with a “very similar” 22 to the one that pumped the Kangaroos, not completely ruling out the chance of changes although the ruck combination seems settled.

“Blakey [Mark Blake] played well enough [against the Kangaroos] and Brad Ottens was really stiff to miss out on All-Australian [selection],” Thompson said.

That suggests a potential change...

Half the stuff Thompson has said to the media this year has been full of crap :P I wouldn't be surprised if he is just playing little mind games there with that little comment - keep Collingwood guessing. Will be surprised if there is a change at all.

No change. How could there be anyone dropped from the Kangas game?

Byrnes will keep his spot. Integral to the team structure Bomber is after. Despite his sometimes poor disposal, his great speed creates forward line pressure and he can lay a fair tackle...sounds like Travis Varcoe right? Except Byrnes will get his 15 or 16 possies and possibly kick a goal or two (made up of lots of 6 behinds each of course ;)).

Look at how the pressure affected the Pies last week in the backline.

Prismall won't come in, as we have plenty of midfielders and blokes like Kelly, Rooke & Chapman to rotate through there.

As for Blake doesn't deserve to get dropped and won't.

He likes to keep the media and public thinking does Bomber.

No change. Egan will come in for Byrnes if we get through next week.

The forgotten man is DJ, I reckon I'd have him ahead of Byrnes

as much as i hate shannon byrnes........aw jeez, this is hard......against brisbane in rnd 22 and against the roos i thought he was really good.

i dont think his disposal is ever going 2 b consistently good, but u cant drop him at the moment. prismall hasnt played in the 1s all yr so i wldnt b bringin him in 4 a prelim against a fired up ferals outfit.

no change

you dont see/hear many games?

Prismall, King and Charlie trained with the side today. Maybe they'll be the emergencies, maybe there'll be a change...

As long as Charlie is not brought in, he can train all he wants!

Don't think any changes will happen, but King for Blake and Prismall for Byrnes are the only two that could happen, even if incredibly remote.
