Southby, Perovich and Doull.

Chris Johnson.

Aker and McRae.

Brisbane mids.

Carlton tall forwards.

Carlton rucks.

Brisbane foot soldiers.

Couple of changes.
Wayne Harmes eats Chris Johnson at quarter time change over as a snack.
Wayne Johnston trumps Aker and McRae on his own.
Ken Hunter wins the versatile talent duel and
Lions tall forwards trump our tall forwards.

Aker on his own was better than all the Carlton mosquito fleet.

We're about to take-off I'll have to address the rest later.

1989 Hawks vs 2007 Cats.

But under 80s rules for umpiring.

I actually think that Cats team would get better under 80s umpiring. Scarlett, Rooke, Chapman, Mooney, Hunt and Milburn were all hard as nails and would have cherished being able to cream blokes on and off the ball.

Would be a ripping contest.

Melbourne side that lost to Fitzroy by 190 points v Melbourne side that lost to Geelong by 186 points.
:p
I'd have to say the side that lost to Fitzroy. I was at the game where we lost to Geelong. It was wet, dark, cold, windy and the game was just as bad. The only consolation was the train ride home, it was full of Melbourne supporters, at least the majority of Geelong supporters where from down there. It was very very very quiet...... I also didn't have to pay to get into the ground, which was also a positive.

Did Robbie Flower play in the 1979 game?
He on his own would split it to the 79 side I would think.
God his was a sublime player to watch in action.

Corey, Bartel, Kelly, Ling, Harley and Johnson. I'd consider all those to be pretty hard at it as well.

If you could pick 2 sides of any Era to sit back and watch play against each other what would you wanna see?

Personally I'd love to see the Hawks of the late 80s up against the Lions of 03. It would be the most brutal blood bath of all time mixed in with the pure skill of the eras as well
I think you're right. It'd be last man standing.

Not sure. We didn't really have a decent player that year other than Jones and McDonald. It was one of the worst games i'd been to. I watched the loss to Collingwood in round 23 this year, and that would be up there because of what was at stake. Other games that were horrible was the loss to Essendon by 150 points under Neeld and a round one loss to the Lions at the G by about 10 goals.

Love to see:

Hawthorn 88 v Essendon 85.
Geelong 07 v Hawthorn 14

I'd also love to see Hawthorn play the 2013 GF v Fremantle again - we played with so much fear that day. Without it I reckon to could have been 80 plus. Just go to round 3 2014 to see what should have happened.
