Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
So to anyone thinking of jumping off the bandwagon, good riddance, the club doesn't need you. Im sure Richmond will welcome you with open arms.
Ahh, no we won't.

Get some balls you weak &#$%. Of course you should go, try not being a fair weather supporter. Its easy to be a front runner and support your team when its going along swimmingly, a true supporter follows under any circumstance.
Two games that I went to and I didn't think we were going to win were the 1982 GF and the 1999 Prelim - what a f**ken buzz when we won both games.
Get along and support the baggers.
We were always going to win the 1982 GF. Sure Richmond beat us by 23 points in the second semi final, but we went into that game minus the Dominator (thank you squealer Polkinghorne) & Bosustow, who were both suspended. Prior to the GF I said to a Richmond supporting, work colleague of mine that the Dominator & Buzz were worth 7 goals to the Carlton side & that was why we would win. Sure enough we won the GF by 3 goals, a 7 goal turnaround (I must admit I felt pretty chuffed when it turned out that way).
Yes, there is a point of going: to support your team. Win, lose or draw.
If the last 6 years have taught you anything its that you dont turn up to watch the Blues in this era to expect a win. You turn up to watch hope converted into on-field presence, poise and our overall future.
Its about watching our young players coming through at a hoped for better pace now that we have funds and development coaches; its about watching our new Captain lead when we had limited leadership before; its about our returned from injury warriors coming through and challenging themselves to pick up the pace.
Id love a win. I really would. I'd love to see Murphy, Gibbs, Grigg, Setanta, Edwards and Jackson make best players just as much.
When i question myself as to whether or not to attend this weekends match, i think back to a certain game. Round 11, 2006 Subiaco. We, the worst team in the competition went over to Subiaco to take on eventual Premieres West Coast on a ground they don't lose on. West Coast went into that game with odds of $1.04 to win, Carlton's odds were $13 for a win.
The young inexperienced and doubted Carlton got to something like 44 points up. In the end we lost, to me, the most painful loss i have encountered following Carlton.
However, this game is proof. On any given day, any team can beat any team regardless of talent - who here expected the Blues to step all over West Coast like that on that Sunday Afternoon?
I hope we stick it up the Aints on Saturday Night - i'll be there!
Oh damn, I thought I'd erased that game from my memory.
That one bloody hurt. Really thought we were gonna pull it off.
[/b]I almost did at half time.
Look on the bright side, it would have solved the plumbing issues at least![]()
Hampson and Fisher should return. To see Carlton V Saints, apart from the joy of just watching ur team do we have ne chance of winning? I went to the game against Richmond and was dissapointed, not just with the loss, but i hate following a team where the players dont play like there lives depend on a win.
My $100 @ $4.25, points to a Blues win this week, so get down there and support your club and make me a little richer![]()
You for real?
Im about 300kms north so I don't often get to games, and far be it from me to tell you if you should go or not.
But...in my time following Carlton I have been fortunate enough to live through 4 Premierships (alright...only two I can remember), a couple of gut wrenching GF losses, and plenty of finals campaigns.
My point is that despite the current state of play, the Carlton Football Club has given me plenty to enjoy over the years, far more than your average Geelong, Bulldogs, Melbourne, Richmond, Collingwood, Sydney and St Kilda supporter. Supporting a club is a two way street.
So to anyone thinking of jumping off the bandwagon, good riddance, the club doesn't need you. Im sure Richmond will welcome you with open arms.
is this even a real thread? are you even a real supporter?
of course there is a point in going, what after one game you are willing to throw in the towl. We would bitch about our players doing this so don't as a supporter start.
I live in Brisbane and I am jealous of how you guys have the opportunity to go to the games. Go, be proud and support the boys through all the up and downs.
go blues
