if i had the option of nailing jenifer hawkins and miranda kerr at the same time or Collingwood winning the premiership i would choose a pies flag and thats the honest truth. I still watch the 1990 road to victory VIDEO!!!!!

I just read brochure and it says that Collingwood Club Support will get first dibs at 60% of the overall capacity in the AFL reserve.

There are probably more full Collingwood Club Support than there are seats so I don't think its guranteed.

I'll do the maths.

AFL members section on GF day = 22,000

5,000 = Medallion Club.:mad:

So 17,000 left.

60% of 17,000 = 10,200

Collingwood has the most AFL club support members, at about 6,500, and Stkilda, Geelong and the Bulldogs have less then 4,000 combined.

So Collingwood allocation = 6,500 (if everyone buys a ticket), Opposition (Carlton = worst case scenario with 5,000), max 11,000 in total, would still get a ticket if you got in early enough.

So unless we end up in the GF against Carlton, it is a guaranteed GF ticket for any Collingwood AFL Full Club Support Member.:D

Couldn't agree more, being from Perth I don't get many oportunities to see games in Melb but Ive been to 5 Anzac Day games and only one GF. The Anzac Day games have passion and rivalry, the 03 GF (yeah I know it was bad cause we got flogged) but it had no Footy atmosphere it was just pagentry for corporate benefit. Given the choice of an Anzac Day ticket or a GF ticket I'll take Anzac Day.

I know we're going to win the flag this year. I don't have any body parts crossed like Typhoon, nor do I feel it in my waters like twoforjoy :eek:. But I'm with Shellz and DThomas, and the conviction grows stronger with every game.

And I'm finding it very, very hard to concentrate on anything else.:o

Reminds me of a time when I was a horny 16 year old, in the car with my girlfriend and parents. We drive past that billboard and my girlfriend blurts out "You should try that. You can't last more than a minute." Awkward silence in the car, then all of a sudden on the radio 'Sex Bomb' comes on. I couldn't help but absolutely piss myself in the back seat!:D:p

Actually, Collingwood has over 10,000 Club Support Members.
 
I just got back from O/S and missed the last 8 weeks of games (what a time to miss)...i was getting constant updates from friends here while at games and when i could, I'd get to an internet cafe and listen to the games live via MMM...high 5'ing myself each time we'd get a goal....altho it's diff to watching a game live...the excitement I felt..unbelievable...

I have a strange feeling about this year too...while O/S I had my coffee cup read...lady said she could see that my dad and i will be very very happy soon...my mind went straight to the granny...i'll take that...and while on the train coming home from Sunday's game..guy in front of me was reading the age...page that was facing me was Tony Shaw holding up the cup....

I'll take all these signs.....GO PIES....!!!! :)

I was having a very good yap with a couple of fellow collingwood supporters the other day and afew said 'jUST WONDERING WHETHER THIS CURRENT GROUP HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN THE BIG ONE OR ARE THEY GOING TO BE LIKE THE PAST GROUPS WHO GET THERE AND JUST SHATTTER OUR DREAMS ?.
The next few weeks will un veil all.

Last time I looked though 10000+ Club Support members, there's not that many FULL members. And that's critical in getting the GF tickets.

I agree with Matty, if the Pies make it, there's a ticket there with my name on it.

But it's cost full members fees for the past 20 years so it better be worth it!
