Any of you guys making the trip to Melbourne? Probably not quite as glamourous a game to go to compared to a couple of weeks ago, but I reckon I should have an entire block of seats to myself.

Anyone know the pre-match pub close to TD? Is it still the Colonial Hotel?

Yep I'll be there:D , got the tickets through the club, sitting behind the goals:mad: I am also a bit disappointed that the club has no pre or post game functions, would have thought if you wanted to build your supporter base in Melbourne there could have been something organised.
will try to get to the Colonial for a few drinks before the game.

I live in Victoria - but in a rural area - and am attending the game this weekend with my family and boyfriend. My stepdad is a Carlton fan, so it should be interesting!

Have emailed Cam on this very issue after the Colonwood game as it fell in the middle of the WA july school hols - there was conservatively about 2000 docker supporters in atotal crowd of 30500. There should have been an after game function.

Suggested the FFC look into it for 2007. Especially, if games in Melb fall in the WA School hols in April and July in 2007. Families tend to travel at these times.

Rob the Colonial is the place for the Melb Based supporters to meet before the game- great counter meal.

From being at past Sunday games in Melb and Syd, the only spot you could have an after match function with the players involved would be at the Qantas Club at the airport!

Fine by me....free p1ss for all! :D

And to undertaker, you reckon it was worth getting reserved seats? The entire top deck will be mainly empty so I was going to buy GA tickets at the gate and if there's plenty of seats behind the goals i'll move down there, assuming the security nazis don't stop me.

Skiing in Mt Bulla at the moment but will be there for Sundays clash, and will be in the Qantas club on Sun night hopefully celebrating a great win on my way back to Perth.....love the Qantas club.

With the amount of travel the team's done this year, they'll surely all be platinum FFlyers so they can each bring in 2 guests each... I'm sure there are a few members/sponsors/etc who can invite in a few more... I reckon we could get about 100 fans in!

Party at Tullermarine on Sunday night!

I'm flying from Sydney and my brother is flying from Perth.

Getting in Friday noon.

Go the Dockers!

Anyone meeting up at some pub before and after the game?

I have been to a couple of games where they closed off the upper deck and forced everyone into the lower levels. Hawthorn used to do it most of the time, before they moved to Tasmania. At least once I did regret not getting reserved seats, but mostly it was still OK.

So there's a slight risk, but I am planning to buy GA tickets on Sunday and see how I go.

Rob we went to the kangas V lions game at TD on the sat nite before the Colonwood V Dockers game on Sun. The four of us purchased GA tickets for the third level, most of the punters go fo the centre seats heaps of seats elsewhere.
