You would think after the problems it caused last year, the AFL wouldn't schedule us to play at ANZ stadium late in the year once again... But they did.

Alright, that's fine if you get the playing surface up to AFL standard, which they said they did.

Well guess what, ya bloody didn't. There was a strip of grass running along the wing closest to camera that was basically like an oil slick, causing Ablett and O'Keefe among others to hit the deck. Ablett looked like he may have been injured when he went down, and I was pulling out my phone to call my lawyer to sue the pants off of the AFL.

Fix it, or don't make us play there - especially in round 20!

i reckon there's a small chance we'll play our next game against them over there at the SCG.
They'll play there three "best drawing games" at ANZ next year. Maybe v COLL, STK and perhaps ESS.
I'd love to see the Cats back at the SCG, hey play well there, from what i can remember (lets no mention a certain final though)

It's a shithole.

A dangerous shithole would be a better description.Players losing their footing on the wings where the fill in grass is and players tripping over turf strips that runs between the shit on the wing and the boundary [i.e O'Keefe late in the game].

In hindsight better soft & slippery than shin breaking rock hard like previously methinks.

Ablett apparently pulled up sore today and did not train (there is a discussion about it already). As said in the OP about Ablett slipping over, do think this could be the cause?

The AFL must wake up to themselves, players slipping over without any interference. The Goodes one, where he was in the clear and would have been able to put the ball inside 50 was ridiculous.

Goes to show that the AFL doesn't seem to give a toss about its players. There have been complaints about that stadium since day one. I guess, we can compare this to the arguments and discussion based around Ethihad from a few years ago.
