Yeah, I don't get it really, they should throw this silly pre sale out.

I got tickets for our only Etihad away game (Dogs round 6) only because Etihad is so shitty for AFL members when the game is likely to be fully reserved.

Club members can purchase tickets to all games next Tuesday, the 28th (including ANZAC day).

This was according to an eMail sent out to members a couple of times over the past few weeks. My understanding is that, because it's our home game this year, we get first crack at tickets. If anything is left (unlikely), Essendon members will then have an option to purchase.

So, be ready Tuesday - and get in quick!

Ticketmaster is a joke, their system crashes for most of the morning and then - sold out. I work at a football club that uses ticketmaster and it is pathetic, Ticketek is the king (thank god we play at the MCG).

Matty when do the rest of the tickets for the season go on sale? I only managed to snag 10 games in the pre sale this morning.

I missed out on - Hawks Rd 1, Blues Rd 3, Anzac Day etc

For AFL members;

MCG/Ticketek.

March/April games - Friday March 9th, 9am
May games - Friday April 13th
June games - Friday May 4
July games - Friday June 1
August games - Friday July 6
Round 23 - Friday August 3rd.

Etihad/Ticketmaster games go on sale the day after those above dates.

So on Friday week ANZAC day, Blues and Hawks tickets go on sale (big matches in first 2 months).

For Collingwood Club Members, tickets have been on sale for about an hour now, for all 22 of our home and away games.

Just been on Ticketek and had absolutely no trouble getting my Anzac Day ticket - for once, the whole thing was a breeze.

Maybe we need to find a dedicated band of Collingwood fellows who would be financially rewarded by the club to create new userIDs and ensure that we give better than we get at the Bay in future.

I'll be in Melbourne Anzac Day and i'm pretty keen to go to the game

I noticed that tix go on sale for public on the 6th of March, but curious how long they normally take to sell out? Is it one of them things where I am going to have to set my alarm for 7:30am my time and hope to get lucky or does it generally take a couple of hours/days/weeks to sell out?

The public tickets will sell out with a few hours, maybe even quicker.

You have to remember by the time the public has had a crack, all Collingwood members have had a chance to buy tickets, and so have Essendon fans with big membership packages.

I'd be online/phone/at an outlet at 9am on the onsale date.
