Lost to brisbane by a million goals, played a team that tried as hard as they could to lose and then had to resort to pulling players from the field to make sure they lost so we could win, played the bottom team on the ladder who didnt have a hope in hell of winning and they won comftably and could have won by 5 or 6 goals in the end. Put players on the park who are just bloody hopeless and then leave them on the field to look even more hopeless as the game goes on. Only have one ruckman and no back up.

Well i guess to answer your question i think were on fire and should win every game including the premiership with blindfolds on and all the players half pissed.

Hmm let's see, we almost beat WCE at Subi, we took it to geelong for 90% of the game while we were playing the worse we ever had all season (at the time), we have beaten Sydney in Sydney, Kangaroos, Adelaide in Adelaide, Brisbane in Brisbane, beat St.Kilda (should've beat them easily with competent umpiring). We have young guns that are going to be superstars, we have won despite one of the biggest injury lists in the AFL. We just need a bit of form and luck.

The answer is somewhere between my extremely positive tripe above and dj's extremely negative stuff above.


As painfully obvious as it sounds, if we do go to the finals, we are finals material, if we don't we aren't. There will be no over or under achieving. If we finish 8th we will be deserving of that finish and so on...

Sorry to sound like a pessimist. We've had a few good wins this season, but on the other hand we've had some luck. I still don't know how we beat the Roos. The scoreboard flattened Geelong's dominance over Collingwood. We didn't test them. Brisbane were out of sorts when we played them in Brisbane. It was a good win but I wouldn't get carried away.

Are we good enough to make the finals? Yes.
Are we a genuine contender? No.

Jabso what you have stated is in the past and what i have stated is in the last 3 weeks. Yes we have kids that will be superstars but that is not going to help us in the next 6 weeks. And yes we have won games in most states of Australia this year but its in Mellbourne we need to win. All i have heard in the last couple of months is the DREAM run home the pies have, some bloody dream. Hopefully i will get back to you in 5 or 6 weeks telling you you were right and i end up eating positive tripe. But look out if i get back to you in 3 weeks time cause i will be bloody mad and dissapointed.

We have 3 weeks to get our shit together.If we do we can snatch a top 4 possie,and anything is possible.
It's not that we haven't got skill,we haven't got the heart we used to have,if we can regain that never say die attitude we had early on,yes we can do it.Really geelong i still reckon are pretenders,they will be exposed during the finals,hawks are still not expreienced enough,this year will do them good,the eagles are the danger,but with quesation marks over judd,they could faulter and Sydney could surprise but with the injury too hall they won't go all the way and port power well they are unpredicatable,so if we make it we will be the danger team in the finals,mark my words.

I can't see us beating any of the three remaining teams on current form, but we do seem to match up well on Sydney, so they're probably our best hope.

If we lose all three games, it only takes two of the three teams on 38 points to win 2/3, OR the two teams on 36 points to win 2/3 with better percentage, and we're out of the 8.

Lions, Adelaide, St. Kilda and to a lesser extent Fremantle are all big dangers ATM. Essendon's percentage isn't good enough, and the Dogs have a horror run home.
