I think Laycock will play forward this yr more then in the ruck because that is where he has looked best. he is a very good shot at goal. Maybe Johns and him rotatng off the bench...

I dont , if he is in the ruck he will rest on the bench.

it looks like some of you boyz need to get on the melbourne Victory band wagon.they are an exciting team to watch and at the moment they are the power house team in the comp this season. they are a good team with a great future and it wont effect the afl season at all. At least there is something after the afl season. before there was really nothing

I quite like the idea of Lucas at CHB. I think he was fantastic there in the past. If the forward line can be balanced without him I think he would be good down back. He could take the pressure of Kepler Bradley. KB's biggest problem is his gas tank. He can't quite run out a game on the likes of J Brown and B Hall types who are quite physical but more importantly run to a contest relentlessly. By the third term he's ****ed. He may be a 40-60 chance in a contest at the start of the match but at the end he’s no chance cos he is 3 paces behind. Lucas can at least contest for 4 quarters. Another plus for Lucas is his disposal by foot. I personally rate him as second to only Hird with his disposal at Essendon. And with the extra man played in defence these days he can rebound like a Bowden did for Richmond this year. He also stays on his feet, which is a plus everywhere but especially important on a guy like B Hall who just never goes down and consistently provides second, third and forth efforts. Just my 2c.

No soccer for me thanks, seen it before and its boring IMO. Cricket is becoming less interesting for me also lately. I don't mind watching for about half an hour here and there, but usually fall asleep or do something else around the house and have it on in the background.

The EPL just rocks my world. Fast, furious....high tempo and an assortment of characters..much like our own game. Not to mention more drama that bold and the Beautiful.....so Ive heard..

My point SaxyBoy is, that it is Un-Australian to dislike cricket and unacceptable to support Man Ure.

Hang on, little miss Sunshine....we did win 3 games in one week....Magpies, Spurs and Galatasaray. Not many clubs can say theyve achieved that. Calling for more Chelsea supporters so I can applaud the hidden talent that is Shevchenko...

If I have read the posts right,it seems many want Lucas at CHB because we will have Lloyd, Johns and Laycock up forward with Hille possibly as well.

Question - Who will play CHF? if Lucas is CHB?

Why is Johns a sure thing to even be in the starting 22? Everyone talks about Johns as if he is an established player. He may be gone in two years.

Simple thing - Lloyd FF, Lucas CHF. FP is the spot Laycock, Johns and Hille will fill. Since Hille will ruck, it comes down to Laycock and Johns fighting it out. I prefer them to have to earn their spot. Anyway, if both perform poorly there is one J. Hird still floating around to be the thrid tall. He's not a bad sort.

To me, Johns is at best a FF next year, no more. He won;t play CHF cause he doesn;t know how to. Lucas back to CHF banging the ball in and if need be, rotating with Lloyd.

easy.

Fowler is well past it. Dirk, Bell and Crouch will come good, plus when Stevie G. gets his game up and running we'll have plenty enough goals. Just got to stop conceding them!!

Well, of course he's well past it, but he still has lots to offer as a depth player. His finishing skills are always present, despite his age...Bellamy, Crouch and co have big shoes to fill if theyre to emulate him.

Regardless, we got him for nothing...smart move in itself. If the guy is willing to pay for base payments, he can play until he's 40 as far as Im concerned.
