armitage doesn't suit the saints game plan, i think bailey will get more out of armitage- new environment. and saints will get someone very good at 19.

What makes you think this will happen? seen anything in the news?
Just curious as i think Armitage is a gun and would love him at the dees but hopefully for our 3rd rounder and a Bartram type player. don't really wanna part with picks 1,17,19.

I fail to see the reason for you listing a bunch of other trades whch are already strong rumours, unless it was an attempt to add credibility to your own rumour

Mate, to get quality you need to give quality. Armitage was pick 9 in his draft, and has had 2 years in the system. The signs are that next year will be his breakout year. Saints would NEVER trade him...

I can't see the Saints being happy to give up our only true developing midfielder who was pick 9 two years back for Pick 19.

The kid has obvious talent & has had two years of development (and plenty of dollars) put into him.

Armitage is our future & we need to support him by adding 2-3 other young mids in this draft/rookie draft. If that means that other players are moved on & more picks are added then that's sweet with me.

1. I've heard every single one of those deals before.
2. Why would clubs attempting to work "behind close doors" tell someone in the media whose job it is to inform the public the clubs are hiding the deals from.

In other words, you're trying to add credibility, and failing.

I'm an average schmoe, and I have heard every single one of those rumours except the Prismall one, and I can't see a kid with a busted knee shaft his club like that.

Why would he want to go to Melbourne? Can't see what they would offer that we can't. If anything he'll head up the coast back home?

And as W2L said, we got him with pick 9 2 years ago, why would we want to trade him for a pick 10 less than that? Makes no sense. He's shown promising signs that he'll become a great player for us.

crows want him (Reilly) they think he shows a lot of promise but a bit injury prone. however he is adament he wants to return to home to Victoria, im pretty sure theyr workin their butts off to talk him out of it

Exactly.

I've seen him post in a number of trade threads, so had a look at his posts.

The bloke previously had St kilda picking up Cousins or Kerr, Cousins definitely not going to Collingwood, Kerr at Collingwood, Ray to melbourne, Prismall to the Demons, Prismall to stay at Geelong, Brad Green to Essendon.

Simply by virtue of the numbers he has to be right eventually...maybe.

Melbourne supporters are deluded if they think 19 is good enough for Armitage.
It would have too be pick 17 period this guy is all class.
The only way I could see that trade happening was for the draft pick to
offer West Coast for Kerr.
And only then if they think they would lose him to Gold Coast in two years time.
17 probaly isn't enough but the threat of Gold Coast, may make them susceptible to that trade although I highly doubt it.
