Really wanted this kid to be a Tiger, but was just wondering how he is going and will he see any AFL game time this year?

I think he will get game time probably play around 5-10 games!!

I agree - I reckon he will go ok.

I just hope Lyon's gives young guys a go early in the season and not in the last 1-2 games due to injuries.

I'm a huge wrap for Gwilt and Thomo never gave him a chance in 'the heat of the season' only when numbers were down. How was he meant to prove himself by jumping in and get up to speed of AFL footy late in season.

I hope Lyon plays players based on performance.

Not just because they are young.

Thommo was excellent to Gwilt. In his first season he did absolutely nothing in the Scorpions Reserves and then played the last 3 games. I doubt any other coach woudl have given him a go. In 2006 he was put straight back into the team as soon as he was fit. Gwilt did nothing in two games and was dropped.

Gwilt does have some very good attributes but it seems that he just isn't smart enough to make it. Then again he might just need some more game time, but with RL he'll need to lift his form in the ressies a lot for an opportunity in the seniors.

you'd think scorpions, but i wouldn't rule out him playing alot of senior games this year as i feel we will push in developing him to boost our midfield stocks whilst we are still considered a heavy flag chance

The kid will play eventually, but why rush him in? Is very much a Luke Hodge type, perhaps even better at the same age. Not just an onballer, hopefully he grows another 5cms.
