1st list lodgement tomorrow. Sydney can still keep him on for now (if no decision yet) & delay decision until next list lodgement. There is a couple of delisted free agent windows before final list lodgement.
Rookie upgrades also to be named/included in tomorrow's list lodgement.
Although probably better for the player to delist sooner rather then later to give him ample opportunity to find a new home before other teams fill their lists.
I would think if he survives tomorrow's cull, then he probably stays on your list.

Shame. Our last few trades have really been dud trades. First Tommy Walsh doesn't perform, then Andrejs Everitt leaves, and now Tony Armstrong is going to be delisted.

I'm guessing this means that we know what Buddy's number will be next year.

Poor kid, seems like he tried everything not to end up at Collingwood.

On the brightside, hopefully it's a vote of confidence in someone from last years intake (Marsh - Dick - Towers) to play Seniors next year or Biggs\Cunningham to step up a notch :thumbsu:

Feel sorry for the guy. Fulfills his dreams of playing for the club he supported as a kid, and can't cement a spot. If only he learnt how to tackle and kick more than 15m sideways :(
and not shirk the hard work either

I agree 100% this has Matt Rendall written all over it. We have lost Heater and what I Understand that Armstrong could play simmlar role.

So I guess Rendall is Pusing Hine to get Armstrong.
Replacing Shaw with Armstrong... Yeah... Nah. I think Collingwood should be all over this with 'FU NO THX' banners.

I don't think that Everitt trade was a dud. He's played a couple of blinders for us and generally performed well when we've needed it. He did well down back and played a role up forward. Is he in a our best 22? No way. He was an excellent squad depth player and it's a shame we're losing him because we can still use him.

But he wanted out so can't blame him.

Sounded like he wanted to stay with you guys but still git the BIG A

I think the other thing to remember about Everitt was that when we traded him in in was a bit of a "speculator" anyway.

In the end he's achieved an ongoing career, and he turned things around for us and helped us make a Prelim in one of the most trying years injuries-wise I can ever remember. So it's been a win win ultimately (with a few hiccups along the way).

I know Armstrong was supposedly coming into our 22 when we picked him up. But I had my doubts at the time and these were realised. He was worth the punt though IMHO. Sorry it's ended this way for him.

I never really got on the Armstrong bandwagon and never saw him becoming a long term player for us but he's not a complete dud. His skills are very good and I don't think he'll ever be great defensively, he just needs to develop some more attacking flair.

Yep, always said that he's good when he actually attacks, he just needs to stop being so safe. In fairness, that could have been on the part of the coaching panel, too.
