This thread is for discussion of the games we aren't playing in. It is not a thread to constantly refer to how well/badly we are going in our own games, nor is it a place to ruin the enjoyment of others with constant jabs or referrals to Carlton's woes.

Any posts that do so continuously will get deleted, and anyone who continues to push the envelope afterwards will find themselves threadbanned.

Thanks all!

Brisbane’s recent record against C’wood is not good.

And playing Collingwood is when it matters.
You can be as flashy as you like but if you can't produce against the Pies pressure then you are just pretenders.
It's amazing how teams fall apart when playing the Pies ... even with Goal accuracy.
Dead eye dicks miss the straight forward shots too often.
Coll'd pressure players causing turnovers and then make you pay. If you wilt against this mob ... forget it.

Very good from Aints supporters there.
Mason Wood kicks a goal and they start chanting Ma-son Wooooood (copying the Collingwood chant).

Time to dust off the old joke:
Q. What did Adem Yze say to the players in his pre-game address?
A. “I’ve only got one goal in mind for this first half”

Bulldogs destroying tge tiggies

Great to see Kennedy developing his transition play.

Never imagined him as a run and spread type player but it’s clear dogs doing a great job developing this part of his game.
It's funny how things turn out. The dogs have - under MacCarthy into Beverage - have always been able to develop mids and flankers from legit anywhere in the draft. Contested, inside, goalkicking; just look at the names that have wandered through their midfield in McCrae, Smith, Bont, Dunkley, Lipinski, Libba, that curly haired fellow who fell out of favour and they tried to remake him as forward; then, you have Dale, JJ, Richards, Daniels, Vandemeer, West. It's allowed them to retain draft capital without damaging their midfield; let Dunkley and McCrae walk for picks.

They've also rather sneakily lucked into arguably the best spine prospects in footy. Jones from Covid, Lobb finding his feet as an intercept defender after multiple failed stints as a ruck forward, Jamarra from the NGA, Darcy father-son. English was considered to be best available ruck and a unique prospect as a ruckman. The only legit KPP selection they didn't get handed to them is Naughton.

They've been my dark horse for the flag all year.

Yeah I’ve always enjoyed watching their games. It’s an exciting brand.

And as you say their development and drafting/trading and some luck along the way has put them in a good position.

Just coming into tge Lower end of tge 8 and if they can stay in there anything can happen as They showed in their last flag.

This is what it's becoming with some clubs and individual players such as Naicos. Funny thing, the officiating team are happy to help them. FMD It's becoming embarrassing.
And then you get McRae crying about how unfair it is that little Naicos gets some attention.
The game is a reflection of society today.
