This thread is for discussion of the games we aren't playing in. It is not a thread to constantly refer to how well/badly we are going in our own games, nor is it a place to ruin the enjoyment of others with constant jabs or referrals to Carlton's woes.

Any posts that do so continuously will get deleted, and anyone who continues to push the envelope afterwards will find themselves threadbanned.

Thanks all!

Reckon the cats will beat them if they meet in the big dance

I agree with this, Geelong are the biggest threat as they have good foot skills and decision makers. Therefore they minimise turning the ball over that would result in pressure applied and run and gun by Collingwood. Cats won the last 2 games against Collingwood.

Geelong’s biggest threat is a team they haven’t beaten for two years and aren’t in the 8…

Gold Coast’s win showed some steel and backbone and a decided lack of flackiness, something they have never displayed in their entire history.

They may well be the real deal.

How long has Hardwick been coaching them for? 🤔

Agree
I mean fair dinkum ... Geelong must've felt they won the Footy Jackpot when Bailey Smith came over.
Looks like he'll win the Brownlow ... and on track to win the Flag ... thanks to Smith.
How lucky is that.... scoring a Brownlow medalist. Doesn't get any better than that.

Next shocker ... Harley Reid chooses Collingwood. How crap would that be..?

A lot of talk about Adelaide's forward line which admittedly is very impressive and probably top 2 or 3 in the comp but their defence is also top 3 if not top 2. Very strong. Quality team.

Liam Jones must be scratching his head a little

Crows are one of those teams who have embraced the modern game. You could tell a few years ago how they were going with quick players, quick in the middle and a focus on run and carry and run down ability. They look great and the Doggies are doing the same thing. It's about who is better at it. Has been and should be a good game.

Crows delivery to their forwards has been top notch.
Sigh 😕
Nicely structured forward line, plenty of targets and they have the pace and the desire to run with the footy.

Plenty of targets forward, go up the middle and run with the ball as much as possible to break down the zones and open the game up.

Both sides play good modern footy and it's great to watch.

The Dogs are a talented team but it's made up of a lot of individual efforts. If they come back into this game today I have no doubt it'll be on the back of a few doing some remarkable individual things.

Crows looked a lot like this last year. The way they've come together as a team this year is awesome.
