Freo in Melbourne could be a worry, but Dogs are so flaky.

Let the chips fall where they may. The Pies have to go through Sydney in Sydney to make the GF now. So much riding on that game.
Swans tidied the pies up without raising a sweat at the SCG not that long ago. Would be a huge chance to do it again

I'm led to believe that the Collingwood players have been on a tomato soup diet all week, in the hope that it would help them to avoid choking on the big stage. Bummer.......

Oh boo hoo, their Scum players and supporters got what they deserved tonight.

Those losers choked, textbook and historical Collingwood fashion and I could not be happier.
But they didn't choke. That's not the definition of a choke. They were the underdog and the game was ebbing and flowing the entire match. It is not a choke. I don't think you know the definition of what it means to choke.

That's what I meant. So much was riding on the Cats v Pies match. Huge disadvantage for them now.

We can laugh at the Pies as much as we want but in all honesty, the Pies were magnificent. They do not give up, do not give an inch. Geelong willed themselves over the line against a team that does not stop from contest to contest.
Unfortunately they are not a young team as has been reported. They are going to lose a number of players over the next few years and have very little talent coming through outside of the couple of young stars playing in the ones.

If they cop a few injuries next year I could easily see them back in the bottom 6.

But from all accounts we choked in the last round (which I kind of agree with) but we were the underdog and the game ebbed and flowed throughout.

Pies kicked two goals clear in the last tonight and got beaten. At the very least it was a semi choke.

Don't disagree. They are a much older team than us but it doesn't take away from what they have achieved.

Jack Ginnivan is an interesting footballer.

We were up by 4 goals with all the momentum and then missed gettable goal after getable goal. They ran over the top of us and we made some dumb errors. That's not what happened tonight.

Interesting to think that 3-4 Freo players from that 22 won’t be there next season.

Acres, Lobb and Logue comes to mind

Was quite windy at the ground. City end had the wind and was the scoring end. Pies needed to be 3 goals up at 3 qtr time

Bailey Smith is a very average kick at pace, that’s 2 he’s shanked

They were up by 2 goals and wasted some late opportunities (a behind to Crisp and an out on the full to Daicos). In fact the goal that decided the match was a bit similar to the one Collingwood got against us - an outnumber out the back due to a lack of numbers pushing back.

Yes they were valiant but they will look back at this as one that got away as opposed to some sort of brave effort.
