So Thea turned to Malcolm because she was hurt and heartbroken? well i think we have all been heartbroken at one stage, but i dont know anyone who wanted to become an assassin because of it.

Starling City must be the one place in the world that doesnt have a bed shortage in hospital, getting a private room because you have a black eye and a cut lip.

Wow and now Nessa is back this will end bloody for whoever killed Sara

He is her father. I'm sure that factored into her decision. No doubt there are unrealistic elements to the show and continuity errors; because it's from a comic book.

i was making fun of the writing, they could have come up with a better excuse. and changing her name from Thea to Mia.

Pretty good ep again. Have to say, I think Amell is getting better at acting with each season which IIRC was one of the queries some had back in season 1.

The show seems to be doing a decent job of advancing a few plots. Looking forward to Laurel learning to fight (hopefully makes her a more likeable character), seeing what Ray Palmer's plans for Queen Consolidated and the applied sciences division are as well as what might happen later in the season with Amanda Waller/ARGUS. Throw in Malcolm's likely return soon and Nyssa just showing up (surely Ra's won't be far behind either) and there seems to be a lot bubbling under the surface.

This is pretty interesting too. Apparently the DC cinematic and TV universes exist in a multiverse so there is possibility there could be some future crossovers in future.

"We look at it as the multiverse. We have our TV universe and our film universe, but they all co-exist. For us, creatively, it’s about allowing everyone to make the best possible product, to tell the best story, to do the best world. Everyone has a vision and you really want to let the visions shine through. I think the characters are iconic enough."

In the comics Canary teams up with a boxer called Wildcat, so it looks like they're going down that path. Don't know if I liked this episode though.

But in the comics Wildcat is much older that the dude we saw that runs the gym this week.

But then again in the comics Ollie and Dinah were on again off again for like 50yrs before they got married in the mid 2000's. i think its still the longest running relationship in comics. longer than Lois and Clark or Hal and Carol or even two others form some other show.

Laurel is such a terrible character. It would be good if she died.

Thats about as likely as a Melb/GWS grandfinal next year. and Jack Watts winning the brownlow and MPV

I thought Ollie fighting as, well, Ollie with his sidekicks in that country was kinda cool.

I agree about Amell. I don't know how well he plays other roles or how good an actor he's truly considered to be, but to me he IS Oliver Queen and does the role beautifully.

I'm actually finding Laurel slightly less annoying this season, I'd still volunteer her to the League of Assassins in order to keep up their Lance-quota but still her character hasn't really had any purpose since Tommy died so maybe transforming her into the Black Canary will work, its certainly not going to hurt anyway. The not telling their parents about Sara bugs me though.

I know the characters mostly from cartoons but I've always thought of Wildcat as the grizzled older veteran type.

He only had a few seconds of screen time though.
Does the first impression lasts a lifetime saying work for a TV show? Probably not, I guess I was hoping for more.

First impressions are very important I agree. They probably shouldn't have had him in a bath the first time we see him. The dialogue wasn't terrific either. But I will wait until I see him do more before I judge.

The one who's doing my head in is Laurel. Why do they have to make her so unlikeable? She's not a bad actress and she portrays a lot of deep emotions quite well. But the writers make her so arrogant and full of herself.

Felicity though is... Hot damn.
