Best day of sport for the entire year
Showdown win
Ashes Thumping
Davis Cup come back lead by Lleyton

And Mick Fanning punched a ****ing shark during the surfing final in JBay, proving that Australian men are the hardest campaigners around.

I think someone should just compile enough Richie Benaud audio and let him commentate games for eternity.

Think of all the thousands of hours of commentary he's done. We'd never have to hear Healy, Slater, Lee, etc. again!

The only thing we'd "miss" would be ads for new Channel 9 shows.

I could listen to Kochie sing karaoke every session if we continue to win like that :thumbsu:

405 runs LOL.

Don't get too cocky, we batted on a road in the first innings and they didn't get the same benefit. Winning the toss and batting won us that test. Remember we got rolled easily in the 4th innings in the first test. I would think the poms wont make a road of a pitch for the 3rd test.

The pitch wasn't that bad in the 4th

The pitch didn't seem too bad when we batted on it in the 3rd innings. Steve Smith was playing shots down to fine leg from the left wide line.

Yeah it wasn't that bad, they just crumbled mentally like the England of old.

Probably has something to do with our fast bowlers, there is no let up for their batsmen.

you truely believe that is the sole contributor then you can't be a huge cricket fan.

getting rolled for 100 on the 4th day has nothing to do with the toss, netheir does losing by over 400 runs.

Bigger than the toss was losing 3/30 in the first which was still an absolute road.

i think only taking 1 wicket on day one hurt them more than the 3/30

England have major problems in their top order. They kept showing a stat where they have been about 3/40 in 11 of the last 12 Tests or something.

I think they will drop Bell for the next Test, they have to. He is hopelessly out of form. He may have won them the last series over there but he could well lose them this series if they keep playing him. Lythe has been unlucky to get some good deliveries but has done nothing in 4 innings either.

Doubt they would make any other changes.

Haha were you expecting anything better?

Lee has had some crackers tonight:
- "They need to bowl full, fast and short"
- After Root got out to make them 9/101: "That's a big wicket"

Lee's best moment of commentary happened on day one.

- going on about something in the game, pauses mid sentence to say this "That's Mitchell Johnson turning right". it was truly a masterclass of commentary and we are very lucky to have him.

Can't remember which commentator it was (maybe bumble, was an english accent), but they suggested it was cause our quicks are also taller, so they can force a bit more bounce out of the pitch.

Hazelwood - 1.96m
Starc - 1.97m
Johnson - 1.89m

Broad - 1.96m
Anderson - 1.88m
Stokes - 1.83m

No Ashes tonight but Adam Scott just birdied to go into a three-way tie for the lead. Tight leaderboard!

Still can't get over the Stokes run out. It was hilarious.

Reminded me a bit of this:

What the hell was he thinking? Did he ever explain it?
