It'll be all those english commentators with Warnie popping up every now and then. Not sure we'll get any other Aussie commentators.

Looks like a powernap will be in order during the lunch and tea breaks.

Tim Gilbert will host Nine's broadcast from Sydney, joined on the expert panel by Ashes-winning Australian captains Ian Chappell and Mark Taylor, and former Test players Ian Healy, Michael Slater and Brett Lee.

Howdy Cricket regulars.

Is there going to be an Ashes match thread or?

Which will be posted when...

It's just that all news leading up to the test I think should be posted in the supposed thread.

If it's team-related news, it's already in the Ashes Squad thread.

It'll be interesting to see whether Fox and 9 both use the English commentary or provide their own.

The appearance of Tim Gilbert, Mark Taylor and Ian Healy confirms that I'll be watching this on Fox Sports, especially if the "non-studio commentary" is the same.

Coverage will be woeful here given it will be the one eyed Sky Sports team on both 9 and Fox. If Sky can send their commentators all over the world for every away series England play, why can't Nine or Fox send over a proper team for the one away series that the fans care about most?

Meh as bad as the sky boys can be they are still light years ahead of channel nine and it's clowns.

Wait, Channel 9 are broadcasting it as well as Fox Sports?

I literally had no idea that was happening. That's the best news I've heard this year. That means I can watch it in my room instead of trying to battle for position with the family in the lounge room with Foxtel.

Stoked with it being 5:30pm to ~ 1am in WA, will probably only be half watching the first few hours but can be relaxing for the main sessions and no stress staying till the last ball if it's interesting enough. Feels like we've been waiting forever for this one :)
