There have been a few coaching changes made ahead of the 2018 season:

Following an end of season review, the Club has restructured the midfield coaching role, and as a result Guy McKenna will not be continuing.

McKenna joined the Club at the end of 2015 and was the midfield coach for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

With a long history in the AFL both as a player and as a coach, McKenna has decided to move on from football, accepting a position at Cricket Victoria as Coaching and Talent ID Specialist.

.....

As part of the restructure, former Essendon and Geelong player, James Kelly, has taken up a position within the Bombers Coaching Department.

The triple premiership player will remain at the Club next season after accepting the role of Performance Coach with a focus on the development players.

.....

In further changes, Hayden Skipworth will transition from coaching the forward line to the midfield group, while taking on greater responsibilities.

Paul Corrigan moves from coaching the Club’s VFL side to the forward line.

Performance Coach, Dan Jordan, has been named as the 2018 VFL Head Coach.

Awesome stuff, very happy we kept him, and that he wanted to stay.

Corrigan forward? Does that mean Skipworth is in charge of the midfield again?

Appears to be, I don't know if that's good or bad.

Not really a fan. He was in charge of the midfield from 2013-2015 IIRC and we weren't exactly great then.

that is ******* awesome!! Kelly just immersing himself in Essendon!

Funny how both Cooney and now kelly are still linked with the dons even though they only played in their twilight with us.

Coons is 100% Essendon now, just absolutely loves the club. Pops is still very Geelong but now that he's going into coaching with the Dons we'll see a lot more red and black around :D

How the hell can you go from AFL coach to Cricket talent coach?
He's a mole, he's trying to see if any footy talent is slipping through to the cricket world.
