Does anyone else remember the magic that was Astro Boy? Simply one of the best cartoons ever made. That little flying robot. always falling in love and having his heart broken. Such an epic story line. I wish it was still on. Anyone else around here watch it?

Best cartoon of all time........ nearly

And Dr Elefun is by far the best character of TV all time.

It was a tremendous show, especially the episode where Astro goes to the Southern Continent as they liked to call us. And the episode where Astro dies, while heart wrenching was also magnificently scripted and directed.

Isn't there an Astro movie coming out soon???

Damn I hope that movie is coming out! Yes, that episode where he dies made me cry, I think I was 5 years old. I think that is the only cartoon or movie I have ever cried over!

Yes Astro Boy was truely the most magficiant cartoon EVER made...

My brother goes to an Anime thing every second week, and i hound him to ask them to put Astro Boy on, unfortunatly, to no avail...

I want them to put the VHS on DVD so i can buy it

I loved the episode where Urane made a replicant of herself so that she could become a professional wrestler. I also loved the Robot President episode.

I think there's supposed to be a movie coming out, but Freddie Prinze Jr is supposed to be playing Astro Boy. WTF???

I used to have a crush on Astro when I was little :D I hated seeing him pulverised by Atlas and co.

Astro video's are a great way to spend a hungover day on the weekend - errrrrrrrr not that I'd know of course ;)

There's actually a guy I work with I call Astroboy - he's got the whole hair thing happening - just needs the boots :D

AStroboy rocked but it wasnt as good as Transformers. When Optimus Prime died and turned gray....a moving moment in motion picture history!

Optimus Prime was the bomb, remember those figures that you rubbed the transformer logo and it appeared? I had all the good and the bad dudes. Spent hours with those I did.

Does anyone rememebr Battle of the Planets...also known as G-Force?

Another great one. I recently picked up a set of Battle of the Planets action figures-I was stoked.

At a collector's fair at Camberwell. I think they originally came from the Hobby Japan Store in Box Hill.

Mate, I loved Transformers.

I had Soundwave, and the littel cassettes that transformed into birds, that could go into Soundwave.

I also had those Decepticons that were the green construction vehicles. You could join them all together, and they made a giant transformer.

I also had Bumblebee (the yellow car), and that HUGE transformer who turned into a giant city - his name was Ultra Magnus.

Dan

I too was a transformer freak and had many of the ones you listed, plus a few more, and thought it might interest you to know, my brother dragged me into a comic book shop in the city at the start of the year, and they were selling second hand transformer figures, not in pack or anything for $60 upwards.

They were buying them and re-selling them - No just transformers, He-Man, and the Smurfs from the BP shops mid 80's etc etc

Just thought it may be of interest if you have any of these lying around...

I've got a few old Transformers and He-man stuff lying around. Out in the garage, I have mostly old Star Wars stuff from the early 80's, such as a full-size AT-AT (not literally full size :p ), an exploding ice-base, about 100 figures, the Millenium Falcon, and various other assortments

I got rid of the lot, including my Star Wars figures. And those little discs that game with them...

If we knew then what we knew now...

I even had masks and stuff :(

Sold everything at a trash and treasure for like 20c a pop or something stupid like that.
