It's never happened before, that's why.

First team in history to blow two 15 point fourth quarter leads B2B or even in a single season. 😂

There are chokers , then there are the Atlanta Falcons.
What a sh*t show. At least the Jets are deliberately mailing it in. It's now become their culture, cross to bear....choking. The Super Bowl, and these two games. Mind you, they have choked a number of playoffs in the past when they were like 14-2, 15-1 etc.

you know
kinda want us to go to trash right now

same old same old with Dan Quinn
And if we can get a qb for the future, like say a Trevor Lawrence (who recently said he was a Falcons fan as a kid) I wouldnt complain

Ryan isn't getting any younger.

I have never seen WR's be more open than against our defences since Dan Quinn was hired in the entire team i've watched NFL. Quinn's scheme is so simple to operate against.

Play that Cover 2 Zone where the carries the WR at least 10 yards on every play so offences just send their wideouts on Fades or Posts to clear out the flats and boom it's open literally every play.

Carolina Panthers. Zach Wilson.
What's Blank the Plank waiting for? Does Quinn have photos of him with little boys?

Doesn't bother me honestly, stay a sh*t show for as long as you want.

The Falcons named Raheem Morris the team's interim head coach.
Morris will replace Dan Quinn, who was axed Sunday after the Falcons lost to the Panther at home. Morris, 44, was 17-31 as head coach of the Bucs. Tampa went 10-6 under Morris in 2010. Morris has a chance, however small, of showing he's ready for another head coaching gig if the Falcons can prove at least respectable for the remainder of 2020. That looks less likely every week.

Falcons promoted Jeff Ulbrich to interim defensive coordinator.
The organization also relieved Ben Kotwica of his duties as special teams coordinator and promoted Bernie Parmalee to that role. Will Harriger will take over as running backs coach. All eyes will be on Ulbrich to right the ship for a unit that's allowed 32 points per game and remains riddled with long-term injuries.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports the Falcons would like to interview Saints VP Terry Fontenot for their GM job.
Fontenot has been in the Saints' front office for the last 16 seasons. He's one of the first names linked to Atlanta since ex-GM Thomas Dimitroff was fired. Former Texans GM Rick Smith and Rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes are also candidates for the Falcons.

Falcons interviewed Rick Smith, formerly of the Texans, for their open GM position.
Smith was the Texans general manager from 2006 to 2017 and was responsible for drafting Deshaun Watson, J.J. Watt, DeAndre Hopkins, and others. Smith would be a nice fit with the Falcons who have key pieces on offense but need to get better on defense and younger overall. The Falcons also interviewed Anthony Robinson, their director of college scouting. Robinson has been in Atlanta's personnel department for 13 seasons. He should get an extended look.

Rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes will interview for the Lions and Falcons' general manager vacancies.
ESPN's Lindsey Thiry reports Holmes has emerged as one of the "top candidates for general manager vacancies across the NFL." Holmes, who turned 41 in July, has been in his current position for eight seasons going back to the Rams' time in St. Louis. Everyone wants a piece of the Sean McVay sheen. He has helped an organization low on first-round picks find a few mid-round gems in recent years, though every team turns up mid-round gems in the lottery that is the NFL draft.

NFL Network reports the Falcons have been "researching" Bucs DC Todd Bowles, Titans OC Arthur Smith, and Rams DC Brandon Staley for their head-coaching vacancy.
Bowles was notably a finalist for the Falcons' job when since-fired Dan Quinn got the gig. Interim coach Raheem Morris interviewed for the full-time job this week, but nobody really expects him to land it. Bowles, 57, went 24-40 in his four years as the Jets' head coach before getting canned after the 2018 season. He's been Bruce Arians' defensive boss the last two years and turned that defense into an elite unit. He knows defense, but Bowles would have to nail his offensive coordinator hire to succeed. Smith and Staley are young up-and-comers.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Falcons will interview Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy for the vacant head coach position on Monday.
The Falcons are knee deep in interviews for head coach and general manager. Bieniemy will have his chances this head coaching cycle after another successful season as Patrick Mahomes' signal caller. The Falcons may opt for an offensive minded coach following the Dan Quinn era, but 49ers DC Robert Salah is also in the mix. Both will take zoom interviews on Monday.

New Falcons head coach Arthur Smith will call his own plays on offense in 2021.
This is always one of the first questions for any coordinator turned head coach, but the answer is not a surprise in Smith's case. Smith's play-calling is his top asset right now. Appropriate balancing play-calling with being a "leader of men" proves to be a challenge for many head coaches, but most of the best continue to call their side of the ball. Smith keeping the reins is good news for Matt Ryan, who needs a turnaround during his age-36 campaign.
