Yep, 6000 tickets still left, you sure are going to show up

Thing is there were probably about 30,000 tickets for sale

Plus the Category one members who are crows supporters

Crowd will be even.

Our home game will be a sell out.

Don't even bother turning up to the Showdown on Saturday night because you guys have no chance. Firstly whos going to hold Tredrea. The game is going to be a percentage booster for us. Oh yeah we have one problem. We are wondering who should tag McLeod. I think Brogan will.

If anything is going to keep decent Crows supporters away from the game, it's not the thought of losing, it's the thought of having to sit near feral Port supporters like yourselves. Last time I thought it was raining but eventually realised it was just the spit coming out of the ferals behind me everytime they TRIED to speak.

I'm sure Port will win and I'm sure Port will finished top 4. What I'm most sure of however is that Port will as usual choke come September.

Nothing like positive thinking but this is certainly a way of enjoying the game for you:- if you lose (as predicted) you were right and if you win you can stick it up power supporters thus win/win situation.
Reality is being a showdown ladder position/form stands for little and relies on more on who is hungrier on the night (obvious). I think with both teams being so unsettled could make this a tighter game than alot on this board are predicting.

Hmm, 52? k capacity these days, 20k members stand, leaves 32k, take out another 20k port season ticket holders, leaves around 12k total, 15k max.

The thing i dont get is how it is our home game for the 3rd week in a row.

Personally I reckon our collingwood games were originally scheduled the other way around (rd 6 melbourne, rd 21 here), but it was changed for some reason.

You are kidding right? I think you're the one who is trying to cover your back with comments like this. Port are humungous favourites and rightly so. We are talking a top 2 team vs a bottom 2 team.

Going on some of the Pap doomsayers that are predicting a real danger game for them Mr Rucci's thoughts have seem to struck a soft spot in them. :)

Your probably right (that I'm trying to cover my back) but I dont reckon other than the cat's game your guys are travelling that bad and weve scraped in the past two weeks at home against lowly opposition!

Either that, or they're tossing themselves to sleep at night with that line so if they win they can go 'aaaaaaaaah there we go again, we won and no I didn't think we were white-hot favourites! In fact, you cows were, again probably the favoured side to win. My oh my that makes this victory very sweeter.'

Maybe I'm just being cynical. But watch how many doomsayers on their board, if they win, magically act like they knew it was a dead cert all along.

6000 out of a 57000 capacity. That would mean 51000 seats are paid for, with three days still to go. That's not too bad at all.

Speaking of fans not turning up........no that's too easy.

You can add the Kangaroos and the Lions games to that. We've had 3 very bad games.

Fremantle and St Kilda we were competitive I suppose.

Well, honestly, I reckon it probably is a danger game. Historically our record agianst teams 'playing for their season' is pretty poor (this inluces finals and the sides like melbourne that always get us the week before daniher would be sacked).

If, and I say if, the crows come out ready to play then it will be a tight game. I'm not 100% convinced the camries will be ready though. They still seem to be going through the motions rather than being under real internal pressure.

51,300 capacity actually.

Why should we sell it out for Port anway. I'm sick of subsidising those freaks. And pay your fair share to the SANFL aswell you bums.

I agree my Port supporting father keeps saying to me well you have the whole of the SANFL behind you we just have Port, yet he and his other mate make no effort to go to Port home games when he has the time and money:rolleyes:

thats so typical.

i would have thought that genuine intra-crowd banter & ranting during the game is sorely missed at footy park these days, considering that opposition supporters rarely turn up.

i loved the days when a bit of abuse was hurled :D
