Agreed. I love the idea of jaegar, moller and head all playing their first game in round 01, 2013 (assuming that we can't play jaegar in 2012). And of course, we have to get him first!

what's the word on Head? Anybody know what sort of player he is and if he is any good?

Sandilands for picks one and three. We get jaegar + yarran and sandilands finishes his career on a huge salary as the captain of (appropriately) the giants.

In three years time would you rather see (a) a thirty-two-year-old sandilands with Pearce and Lower at his feet or (b) Griffin/Clarke/Moller with jaegar and yarran at their feet.

Sandilands is pretty important to the team, winning the second ruckman contests is what makes a good team a great team, Griff offers a bit of that.

Would never happen. BUT, I must admit that I wouldn't mind seeing it occur in some alternative reality just out of curiosity. If Jaegar, Yarran and the other pick we get realise the hype and Clarke develops into a Ruck/Rover freak etc. - it would be nice to see how we are as a team say in 2014 ...

Anyway, back to the real world.

How many times have you seen the clubs that are consistently successful willingly trade their champions?

Simply doesn't happen, you don't build culture or a winning environment with that kind of mentality.

I realize our so called window is barely open due to the age disparity of our list, but that is due to poor choices by the board (Appointing Conolly and then following him down the rabbit hole), not the players.
