As of the 10th of the 10th - Australia has 8 players on NBA rosters.

1) Patty Mills - San Antonio Spurs
2) Aron Baynes - San Antonio Spurs
3) Andrew Bogut - Golden State Warriors
4) Joe Ingles - Los Angles Clippers
5) Matthew Dellavedova - Cleveland Cavs
6) Brock Motum - Utah Jazz
7) Dante Exum - Utah Jazz
8) Cameron Bairstow - Chicago Bulls

This thread is not for the die hard NBA fan who watches every second of action, it's for the average fan who knows the name but doesn't have the time to look at nba.com and the box scores.

I thought it would be a good idea to add the stats, some video highlights and any articles or trades that could occur during the year.

Games on the 10th of the 10.

Patrick Mills - DNP injured shoulder.
Aron Baynes - 4 points (2 for 2), 3 rebounds in 3:03 minutes
Dante Exum - 6 points (2 FOR 6) and 1 assist in 21:07 minutes
Brock Motum - DNP - CD (Did not play - coaches decision)
Andrew Bogut - 4 points (2 from 3), 4 assists and 6 rebounds in 23:37 minutes

So, as the season goes on and the players start to get more action - the starts and information can be added.

Good thread. I don't give a stuff about it yet but will be a good topic in the regular season with a few more Aussies than usual. Assuming none get cut for final rosters.

Somehow, I'm not expecting Ingles, Bairstow or Motum to make final rosters.

Would be great if they did but can not see it occurring.

That doesn't mean a thing. They can pay his contract out or send him to the D league.
He's been given guaranteed money weeks ago they don't do that to camp bodies. He might not make the playing rotation but he'll be rostered.

They can trade him, then he will just get waived.

Players get cut from NBA rosters all the time. He is no guarantee at all.

Agreed. Ingles contract is $500k and I haven't seen it confirmed it actually is guaranteed. The answer depends on where you look.

But guaranteed or not, the Clips wouldn't care about throwing that away if he's the weakest man on the roster when it comes down to cutting the roster down to the final numbers.

Sure they can trade him, you posted about him making the final roster which he already has.

Established players don't get recruited from Europe, with guaranteed contracts and then bought out before the season starts. For a start it's an ass move that ruins your team rep with players and agents. It certainly doesn't happen all the time.

David Andersen says hi.

You keep saying guaranteed contract. Where have you got that from and why are you sure about that? HoopsHype Salaries has it as an option and Spotrac.com has it noted as an unguaranteed camp invite contract.

The Clippers can let him go again for nothing, and Doc Rivers has said he's fighting for the last roster spot with Jared Cunningham, and Joe will have no hassles finding another minimum gig in Memphis or Philly or swinging back to Europe for a bigger pay day.

But good on him for aiming high and trying to make the best team that gave him an offer, regardless of what the end result is.

Could be wrong, third hand info from a Euro bball contact that I haven't checked. He had other guaranteed options so it would be weird if this wasn't.
